Had a few questions about the room, door to pool etc. The owner came straight over and helped us out immediately. It appears they have recently bought the place and are in the process of improving it. I was impressed that the rooms were well catered. Toaster, microwave, tea, coffe, biscuits plates, knifes, forks, spoons, glasses, even wine glasses, coffee cups, full sets of towels, hand cloths, etc. Even high end hotels don't cater for their guests as good as this. I do note the outside lights come on a little after dark. Probably time vlock control instead of opto sensor or now days programs can go by BOM sunset and sunrise daily changing times. The hotel is well positioned with easy walk to centre of town, clubs, aquatic center and KFC across the road. Although there is a Resturant also within the motel. Security gates keep this place well secured at night. I might suggest that since the motel is an older build that sound absorbing wall coverings are added to the inside of each room to keep noise from other rooms at minimum. You only seem to notice this at night once the background noise drops off. But all in all very impressed. Will be back again.

Stayed at Sandors Motor Inn and had mixed feelings. The room had a strong smell, like someone had been cooking in it, and the neighbour was noisy late at night. I was also woken around 1am by very loud bangs — almost like gunshots — and the girl next door screaming “help me, help me,” which was honestly quite frightening. On the positive side, the service from staff was great and they were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the noise and late-night incident really impacted the stay.

First impressions are lasting. Lacking maintenance. Outside areas such as stairs dirty with blood stains. Inside bathroom recently renovated ok. Bedding clean. Other furniture dusty and unclean. Couch filthy. Outside seating on balcony filthy. Previous revies don't ring true with me

We love Sandors Motel, it is a wonderful place to stay on our way to see our daughter in south Australia. The pricing is good although they don't have the breakfast included anymore. We will definitely stay there again.

The room we booked was not deluxe. Room 18 requires the flooring to be replaced, the curtains to be rehung. We were not happy with the room and asked to be moved which staff did. But with no sitting space in this room it was not suitable for a 2 night stay. So we left. We had booked this room on Expedia about 15 minutes before we arrived, so this ended up costing one nights accommodation, we got the second night refunded. My advice is don’t book this hotel. There are many good motels along Deakin Street. We ended up at Comfort Inns Deakin Palms. After inspecting room was very happy and looked after us rate wise as receptionist knew we’d already paid for a night at Sandors.
