We had a great stay at the Butterfly Farm! Chris the owner was a delight, food at the restaurant was delishious and fresh, and it was close to all the attractions around Litchfield. The property looks a bit dated, but it was still clean and comfortable.

Very welcoming and made you feel at home. Loved all the animals and they were more than happy for you to interact with them. Could not use the kettle as it was filthy and had to go to the tavern for dinner (which was excellent) as nothing on their menu seemed to be available. We still had a great stay and would definitely recommend staying here

We had a very pleasant stay and enjoyed not only the good food and cheerful hospitality but also the opportunity to see the butterflies and feed the rabbits and other farm animals. A unique place and a good stopover on our long trip.

Comfortable farm stay nested among a butterfly house and teeming with pond life, rabbits, ducks, chickens, larger farm animals and a resident snake and crocodile. Interesting and hands-on for the kids - get up close and feed the various animals. Restaurant provides homestyle meals - they're alright, but Gordon Ramsay wouldnt be impressed. The 'no outside food or drinks' note in the hotels.com listing is a bit aggressive. It only applies to the restaurant, so you can byo whatever you want to your rooms. If you're travelling with kids, ask for a cabin near the front so you dont have to trek through the park. Told there was no hair dryer available though listed in description. Cabin and bathroom could use some more storage and bench space. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and tidy. Owner is quite quirky - lovely guy. The artwork on the room walls is just as unique. Its well done and fits in with the theme of the place. I reccommend staying there if you're planning to visit the farm anyway. At night the extra wildlife comes out and you get to frolick with the frogs and the lizards. Overall, we were content with our stay but I feel that a 3-star accommodation rating is a bit generous.

Quirky hotel that is full of character. The rooms are simple but the outdoor areas are lovely. We all very much enjoyed it and would have stayed longer if we could have.

Quirky and dated. Could do with a neaten up. Cobwebs and spiders in bedrooms and bathrooms. Cleanliness not great.

Great stopover if you arevisiting Litchfield NP, which is fantastic. Helpful staff and generally relaxed vibe. A bit like a Balinese hostel.

I enjoyed my stay, it is a nice place with its own charm. They are few thinks I think they could Improve. Bathroom cleanliness (it was bad) and pest control. Also to offer a better vegetarian meals.

Fantastic place to stay, an experience on its own. Stacks of character, quirky and entertaining with a combination of rustic Australian, Asian, teddy bears picnic, great food, farmyard and butterfly house all rolled into one. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
