one of my key card bugged a little bit and i couldn't get in the room for few minutes. the shared shower was a bit iffy to look at the ground is old , otherwise the property is very nice and old victorian features

Easy to book, Clear communication, no fuss check in. Helped with an additional request. I will defiantly stay here next time i am in Sydney

Parking is good

The hotel is great. So much character! The rooms are comfortable and really large. Shared bathroom was okay but hand towels (or even better, paper towels or a hand dryer) should be provided as there is no way to dry my hands after using the loo unless I take my bath towel with me (which would be weird , right?). We’ll definitely return but will book an ensuite room next time.

The door swipes hardly work the owner really needs to replace the system, blaming people for putting the swipe cards near a phone is not good enough

This was a great base for a 3 day working trip. Andrew was very kind and patient with instructions for check-in, it was whisper quiet, clean, and the bed was super comfortable. The location is excellent, being such a short walk to Homebush railway station. I’ll definitely stay again.

We were late getting to Darcy’s after arriving on a late flight into Sydney. Andrew responded to our call to let us know how to get in and was very helpful. Great location, near cafes and restaurants. Room was large with kettle, cups etc. milk pods in the fridge but no tea or coffee. Unfortunately, we were woken up at 5:00am with a group of people talking very loudly right outside our room and doors banging. This went on for about half a hour when I then went out to see what was going on. Bed was large ( 2 singles pushed together) but not very comfortable, quite hard. Ok as a one night stop.

Great location, a lovely stay with an interesting history. The room was comfortable and spacious. There was great kitchen facilities and lovely common areas. Also off street parking.

It was a lovely quiet stay. Staff were lovely and helpful. Comfy big room and easy to get in and out of the city from here. Lovely old beautiful building with lots of character.

Value for money

It’s louder during the night because of the traffic. Only one shared bathroom makes it difficult to use when you are in the rush and it’s occupied. 10 minutes to the train station which takes you to the CBD on about 30 minutes.

The room was clean, but there were some areas that could do with being addressed. The bathroom ceiling needs a clean and the cupboard had dusty shelves and underneath was thick with dust. There are some restaurants nearby, lots of coffee shops and the station. Good place to base yourself in a suburban area. Parking on the grounds or the streets. The hotel is very sweet and like visiting grandma with a few more modern details, like the kitchen area and the air con. I would stay again. There are no staff on site, I called Andrew to get details of how to check in, all very easy.

The room was bspacious with 1 king bed and 1 single bed. Fits 3/4 people (family) comfortably. Downside, it was a bit outdated and had an old smell (probably came from the carpet). Felt like traveled back in time with original vintage furniture and decoration. But it was great for family. Check in was super easy.

Good room to stay in. Kitchen in hotel fully equipped.

We had a very pleasant stay at Darcys in a very large room with sofa, table and chairs and a desk. Opulent! The king-size bed was very comfortable and with just a 5 minute walk to the train station, access to the city is easy. Check-in was very simple also.

A couple of cockroaches found in room. Staff started knocking on the door an hour before check out to remind me to check out. More of a hostel than hotel.
