We had planned to stay in Mission Beach in the hope of seeing Cassowaries. In the end we were unlucky on that score. However, we were very pleased that we had chosen to stay with Robert and Adrienne in the wonderful house. The location is fantastic. It was a treat to watch wallabies in the garden over breakfast.

Excellent stay clean and comfortable. They help with making reservation and even made sure I seen the Cassowary and yet another wallaby. To bad they are trying to sell but when someone buys it they will have some big shoes to fill.

The hosts were very obliging. The breakfast was a great start to the day - especially the muffins. The wildlife was fantastic and the cassowary encounter priceless. Recommend and would stay again.

Welcoming friendly hosts. Property in park like grounds with some wallabies arriving for breakfast each morning. Substantial continental breakfast included which was highlighted by the delicious homemade muffins. Located centrally in the Mission Bay Area and close to major retail services. However vehicle transport is a must to explore the area.

Robert and Adrienne made us very welcome and we felt immediately comfortable. Very clean and well appointed. The complimentary drink with the hosts was enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent with homemade jams and the icing on the cake were the wallabies who all but joined us at the table! It was good to see the obvious pleasure our hosts gained from nurturing these animals without taming them.

This was a lovely place to stay. We were met by a group of Agile wallabies in the grounds to this B&B and they also appeared each morning at breakfast. A young cassowary also made an appearance one afternoon. Robert and Adrienne were thoughtful and helpful hosts and the 6.00 pm happy hours each evening was a great way to get to know each other and discuss the day and share experiences.

A gem of a property run by convivial hosts who know & love the area. Adrienne calls the wallaby and they appear 2 feet off the brekki veranda. Manicured gardens & vast lawn give best chance to catch a look at the legendary Cassowary once thought extinct

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hibiscus Lodge! The personal service was first class and nothing was too much trouble. Amazing free breakfast with freshly made Blueberry muffins and Fresh fruit. Such a delight to have Wallabies eating their breakfast nearby as Adrienne the owner feeds them every morning!! We also had a pre-dinner drink on the deck with the owners and other guests and this was beyond our expectation! We would definitely stay here again should we ever be at Mission Beach in the future Would thoroughly recommend Hibiscus Lodge for those guests that want a peaceful and tranquil location that is surrounded by nature! Excellent value for money.

This was my first experience at a B&B and the owners were very friendly polite people. A very short drive to the beach and a very peaceful area. The wildlife came up to the back deck whilst enjoying breakfast. I will definitely recommend the Hibiscus Lodge Bed & Breakfast to my friends and family!
