The location of the hotel was excellent for the train station and town centre The room probably needs updating the bathroom especially had a noisy extractor fan and the bath was flimsy. Lovely spa and breakfast was nice to

Lovely clean room,comfortable bed,and hot drinks facility. Bar had good selection of drinks and staff very helpful. Breakfast bar good variety and quality of food. Restaurant staff very friendly and helpful. At time of our visit weather hot and outside seating limited,but we were lucky, Overall an excellent visit and convenient to the city - a 10 to15 minute walk to the clock gate.

Great spa and breakfast!!

A lot of money for the standards. Broken glass near the outside seating areas clearly left from the night before. The hotel is dated and could do with being modernised. The full English breakfast was awful - undercooked, fatty and tasteless bacon, poor quality sausages, cold toast, no mushrooms was just unappealing.

Room was standard, no air con but did provide a fan. Shower was a little low for tall people. Car Park was great & were able to use gym to change for races even though room wasn’t ready to go in

This is not a full English breakfast no mushrooms no hash browns And tea pots need need a clean

Great position. Short walk to train / bus station. Short walk into center. Good Health Club with lane swimming. Good breakfast.

Really nice hotel and spa this was my second visit. Close to the shops and pubs. Staff are really friendly. Breakfast was really nice. Will defo go back

Cannot complain anything about staying at the mill. We had a balcony room which over looked the canal, it was nice and cool in the hot weather we have just had. Staff where friendly nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was good, only complaint is no hash browns or mushrooms which i like on a breakfast. We would recommend this place to anyone staying in Chester. We will be staying here again in the future.

The shower in the room and wash hand basin were very small , other than that it was clean and tidy and the staff were excellent

Great location and convenient to the Old City. The staff were accommodating. The room was comfortable and clean.

When I booked the room it was for myself and my 15 year old granddaughter. I was offered a king size bed. When we got to the room it was a double bed. We couldn't open the window on a very warm night. A small fan was in the wardrobe which wasnt efficient at all. Spent a very uncomfortable night.

The room was pretty much clean, not perfect but well maintained. The staff were so helpful and friendly. I enjoyed breakfast every morning and having the option to use the bar until late, this was particularly helpful when wanting a cold drink when I came in after a day of exploring. Helpfully close to the station and town, many places and sights within walking distance. Didn't get a chance to use the spa but would love to go back to try it. Overall great hotel and would definitely book again.

Clean room, did what it needed to do a bed with an ensuite. Felt very dated. Complimentary breakfast was delicious, and the gym had basic equipment but good enough to get a good gym session in. Extremely gorgeous location and perfect for going into Chester. Reasonable car park price. Only negative was I didn’t appreciate being asked for my card details - account expiry and cvc outline publicly and was not told how it would be stored or removed. I feel that there was a slight breech to gdpr and froze my card afterwards. I asked to give the receptionist my card once I realised they wanted such sensitive information. Would’ve preferred a bit more transparency and discretion. But all in all an ok stay. Thank you

Some of the rooms are a little dated but serviceable and they are reasonably priced. Warning about the shower in my room it was over a small bath so not much room for manoeuvre and the shower gel dispenser stuck out with sharp corner's as I found out and have a nasty bruise on my upper arm after catching myself on it, these should all be changed . Location very central.

Good location and parking. Room dated, carpet few stains. No air conditioning, no iron, but asked reception and received in 10 mins. Bed base dated. Good balcony although could do with a bit of a clean also

Overall stay was ok and staff were friendly and professional. Very handy for station and city centre Room was quite small and squeezing round bathroom door was awkward. Mattress was too hard.
