We had an absolutely awful experience at this hotel. The deluxe room was horrible, curtains hanging off the rail, wardrobe door did not close, bathroom was full of black mould, the sink plug blocked so couldn’t let any water out, the window did not open as the fixing was broken. We were booked in for two nights of luxury, ha, ha!! We left after one night, it was awful. The receptionist would not acknowledge our problems. She sat in the dining room on her phone, ignoring anyone standing at the reception. The spa is an extra 60 euros per session, the pool has a plastic roof over the top that you have to bend double to get in. I would never go there again. Please stay away from this place, it’s to fit for purpose.

Great location & friendly & helpful staff. However, that's where positives end. Room was not in main hotel, it was in building next door. Small, cramped for 2 people. Paint peeling off ceiling in bathroom, mold in shower unit around corners and door seals. Only 2 electric sockets, where extentions were being used to facilitate tv, lamps, etc. Room is not shown in any of the pictures when booking. Unfortunate, as the location is magnificent

The owners are very friendly, and are wonderful guests, happy to help in any way. The hotel is newly renovated, impeccably clean and has confortable mattresses and bedding. It was warm and cosy inside and the decor kept an old royal atmosphere. Breakfast was great, with a nice variety of high quality products (from local producer! I always appreciate it, and it’s always fresh and tasty!). I especially appreciated the fresh fruit salad, home made jams, fresh pancake batter waiting by the pancake machine and the lovely restaurant decor and views. Their gourmet restaurant offers home made meals with fresh local produce. Thanks again for our weekend getaway!

Nice hotel, evening meal was adequate ,not great. Biggest grumble is the lack of a smile or conversation with the two receptionists we encountered, they gave the impression they did not enjoy their job. They really set a poor tone when we arrived and departed.

Mine was just an overnight stop on my way north viewing houses. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is old and characterful, but my room was small and strangely decorated.
