Large free car park. Staff were super friendly and soon sorted out some room problems. Dining area has been recently refurbished with a pleasant outlook over the canal. Corridor areas and the rooms we stayed in, although clean, large and functional seemed a bit tired and in need of a refurb. Powerful shower. Lift doesn't go to all floors. Doesn't seem to have Air conditioning. Breakfast was fine. Good location about 1 mile from Skipton town centre. Bus stop opposite takes you into Skipton if you don't want to drive.

Lovely traditional hotel on the edge of skipton. Idea if you want to park up and walk in down the canal . About a mile and a lovely walk . Hotel clean and friendly. Pool lovely and warm . Food delicious. Family room very large with good shower . Would return and recommend.

A little gem. I booked one night with family and regret not staying longer. The bar and restaurant were definitely upscale and worth an evening dinner which was totally destroyed by the children. Breakfast was buffet style, really enjoyed it. The canal at the back has a lovely after breakfast walk, and we were fortunate enough to be able to get a boat ride from some travellers. Amazing experience to show the kids how the boats have a home on them. The hotel has excellent parking, service and friendly staff. Knowledgeable and directed us to the boat rides in town. Another point in their favour. Definitely need to return.

Disappointing stay in what we thought was a good hotel. Rooms were awful.. very badly equipped and maintained. Main areas were nice and clean and well-presented. Breakfast had a wide, varied range of poor quality, over-cooked products. Not worth the money.

Staff were amazing. More warnings should be provided on the availability of the pool (as there are so many children’s lessons). Very hot and an ambient stale smell in common areas. Felt a bit like a care home for walkers. Breakfast was good.

Location perfect for our group get together - 30 mins stroll into Skipton. Breakfast good however staff need more training in replenishment of items Dinner OK - very expensive for what it was as were drinks. Service not great as order taken incorrectly meaning one of our group got his meal later than the rest - they didn't charge him for it. Reception staff very good & helpful

The Skipton needs updating. The shower curtain rail was held together with duct tape and falling off the wall. The bath traps would not turn off without serious effort.

Excellent staff, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient-particularly the reception staff. We were very fortunate to be given an upgrade-very exciting! This meant a canal view room which was lovely, much quieter than the front of the building. The hotel appears to be undergoing a programme of refurbishment and the dining room is much improved. Unfortunately the same could not be said of the breakfast. It was disappointing that there was only sliced bread available. The slices of cheese were hard and curled and looked most unappetising. The hotel is set in lovely surroundings and the walk along the canal into Skipton is a pretty one, where we saw jumping lambs, ducks, geese, swans and an otter. We always enjoy our stays here.

Hotel is OK. A bit tired in parts though. I paid for a room with a canal view which I could see - if I looked beyond the large number of big bins full of dirty sheets and some car parking spaces. I also asked for a quiet room when I made my booking, again when I completed their online check in and also when I arrived at the hotel. I was given room 308 which has a door to another room. Through this door I could hear everything that was happening next door including the gentleman snoring and coughing, it was like he was in my room! I would not book here again. The corridors are a bit tired and incredibly hot. Car park is large and free for guests. View in the distance beyond the canal is attractive. Staff were all friendly. Didn't think it was value for money though because of the noise from the next door room which resulted in a very poor night's sleep.
