Traditional historical room!

Lovely atmosphere and great common areas. Room was also nice, however bad smell in the bathroom and a little dusty around the bed and lots of cobweb on the windows (when opening window spiders came in). Great staff. Restaurant waitress spoke only English and didn't know the meny but asked collueges. Breakfast - the homemade bread was a disappointment but the pancakes were amazing. Overall a lovely stay and would definately visit again!

Utmärkt service. Trots något missförstånd vid bokningen angående tillgänglighet för rollator. Så löste man omflyttning till annat rum och service av hiss snabbt och vänligt! Restaurangen var utmärkt i solnedgången. Frukosten var riklig och god. Återkommer gärna. Kan rekommendera hotellet varmt

The Hotel, the rooms and surrounding is so fine. But the food in the restaurant at dinner in the evening was very bad. A nice stay anyway.

Charmigt hotell om än lite slitet på utsidan

Very nice to stay at Gripsholm! Kristinasviten is spacious and lovely decorared. The fittings and tech are very dated though. A touch up of bathrooms, TV etc is in place.

Vistelsen på Värdshuset Eklunden var en ren njutning från början till slut. Personalen gjorde ett oerhört intryck med sin värme och professionalism. De var alltid tillgängliga för att se till att varje detalj av vår vistelse var perfekt. Rummen var smakfullt inredda med en känsla för komfort och lyx. Sängarna garanterade en god natts sömn tack vare högkvalitativa madrasser och sängkläder. Utsikten från rummet var andlös, och inramade det vackra landskapet som omgav värdshuset. Måltiderna var en höjdpunkt – frukosten och lunchen serverades med stor omsorg och använde sig av utsökta råvaror av högsta kvalitet. Varje rätt var en fest för smaklökarna, vackert presenterad och med smaker som balanserades perfekt.

Overall a great stay in a great little charming village. The hotel has an abundance of character but does need updating. We stayed in a suite and the living room was quite dark. Castle views amazing. The property is lovely with outdoor areas to also enjoy the castle view. Staff very attentive. The rooms could use a mini fridge—this would make big difference especially for longer stays. We felt two nights was adequate to view the castle, tour the town, and then add another experience like the train and steam to Taxinge Slott. No AC in the rooms despite it saying it does. It’s a property wide air cooling system that is mediocre at best. We opened the windows and even being right above the restaurant our fan drowned out most noise. Overall, I recommend!

It was a good experience however the food has not impressed me
