A short drive from Kirkwall town centre. Really good base for a visit to Orkney mainland.

Karrawa Guest House was great. Rooms were nice, clean, roomy, comfortable. Owners, who were also the staff, were very helpful, friendly, attentive. The rooms include breakfast, which is a full breakfast including made-to-order hot dishes -- food was good, the grilled tomato was a big hit in our family. The Guest House is in a quiet neighborhood (about a 20-minute pleasant walk to center of Kirkwall, or an easy bus or car ride).

The condition of the guesthouse was impeccable. The hosts were great, the breakfast was tasty and the location was walkable to town. The parking was on the premises. Would totally stay there again.

Amazing breakfast! I especially loved the mushroom. The hosts were great & the location was very convenient. We were able to walk to dinner after a day of frazzled nerves from white knuckle driving.

We had an incredible 2 night stay here. Fyona and Colin went above and beyond to make us feel at home and we would 100% stay there again! Breakfast was delicious, the room was cozy but just what we needed and the neighbourhood was quiet. It's about a 20 minute walk to the shops in Kirkwall which was so perfect. Can't recommend enough!

We really enjoyed our stay at Karrawa Guest House! The host was warm and welcoming, answered any questions we had as newcomers to Scotland, and the breakfast service was incredible. Our room was cozy but spacious and the attention to detail made our stay feel luxurious while being functional with small children. We hope to visit again!

Loved the ease of parking. We arrived at midnight and the host greeted us at arrival and was helpful. Breakfasts were very nice. The hosts were kind, helpful, but not intrusive.

Fyona is helpful and friendly. Breakfast was made to order and excellent. Accommodations were spotless. This property is not in the heart of the city but it is an easy walk in.

Friendly, clean hotel with a nice breakfast

Really enjoyed our stay here. Found a couple of bugs in the bedroom (looked like pill bugs we have in the states). Not threatening. Beds were comfortable but were more the size of queen beds instead of King as advertised. Still, none of this would keep me from staying there again.

The room was a good size, good bathroom facilities, lovely breakfast room and everything was clean and fresh. The breakfast had a good choice and was always produced promptly and the staff were attentive without being intrusive. Expecially enjoyed the haggis for breakfast. Will certainly return.
