Lovely hotel. Clean, friendly staff, food delicious.

The property and location is absolutely beautiful. However we were disappointed and frustrated during our check in process with the front desk young lady who couldn't answer most of our basic questions, and at the end gave us totally wrong information about resort operations hours, access, etc. In contrast, the public relations lady (we believe her name was Gulnara) was extremely helpful and went out of her way to help us with Covid test related issues, as well as other things.

I'll start by saying that this property is not 5 stars, maybe 4 at best. My major issue was with my room. I had booked a swim up room (at a premium) but only once we got there realised we were given the superior room instead. I asked reception why I had the wrong room and was told there was a problem with the hot tub and we will have our room correct room by 10am the next day. The room was not yet ready and I contacted Hotels.com directly to assist me. Gold Island told Hotels.com that the room was ready and they are waiting for us at reception this was at 12:30. At reception they informed us that the room will only be ready by 3pm.when the room was finally ready at 3:30pm it was very small and did not contain a hot tub as expected, we decided to just go back to the first room as we would rather just try and enjoy our holiday instead of going through any more of this back and forth with the hotel. The staff at reception also promised us a special gift for the honeymoon to apologise for the inconvenience, unfortunately we neever received anything. All in all a very average hotel with a very short entertainment schedule. The only possitive is the service from the entertainment and wait staff. I expect we would have received similar service and quality of food for a third of the price at the other hotels in the area.

The hotel is set on a peninsula which means that there is a lot more space than the other hotels in the bay. We stayed in B Block which we found less busy than A Block. It took us 2 days to realise that there was a separate restaurant and beach in B Block which were much nicer than the main hotel. Food is good and plentiful and there is lots to do on site

the overall experience was excellent more than we expected!! the staff were amazing and very helpful. big thank you for Youssef one of the staff who is really a hard worker with outstanding personality.

It's an alright hotel the room was OKAY the beach is near location of the hotel is alittle bit awkward to get to by walking

The worst hotel i had been visited in my life, the staff are very rude and impolite, they don't have A.C as they said, the owner tries to decrease his costs even it will effect the quality of services, only the good thing was the guy of the aqua water

First room was filthy but a quick trip to reception rectified that 2nd room was cleaned from top to bottom before we entered. Head of housekeeping advised that room checking before guests arrived would be a priority. 2nd room was fab. Spacious and airy. we had an island room well worth the extra £ for this room. Your own garden with sunloungers and a fantastic sea view. The island rooms are very quiet and the only people you see are housekeeping or fellow guests of the island rooms The main hotel the pic you see on websites is amazing and is only a two min walk from island rooms. The main part houses the restaurants and main amenities the bar in the main block is fab. Huge measures on the spirits. But don't ask for a mojito they don't make them and when they try they are yuk !! The food is fine something for everyone. Check out the outside area next to main dining hall they have roast chicken , kebabs and various other things on different nights. Pool bar cocktails are yuk! But the beer and the food are great plenty of choice. The wraps and crunchy chicken ( tastes like KFC ) the pool is amazing. Plenty of sun beds around it. There are 3 beaches one is shared with another hotel but still loads of room. The one next to the amphitheatre has disabled section which is rails around loungers to allow people to access the beds and a walkway right along the beach for wheelchairs. There is also a couple of water slides next to this beach.

Stones throw to all facilities, very friendly, kind and helpful staff. If you are to book this hotel I would recomend booking a room in Block A due to it being the main block and closer to everything aswell as having a 24 hour bar. (the hotel consists of two blocks. Block A & block B) Food was outstanding so much variety. was a very good 8 nights I spent at gold island.

Welcomed at the hotel door by a very pleasant member of staff, as all the staff were. The hotel is set in a great position with its own beach. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool and beach areas meaning we never had to search long for one. Food was a good standard with plenty of choice. Ate at the Italian restaurant and had a fantastic meal. Will be looking at going back again in the future.

I dont know how they get 5 stars but quality is 3 star no more then that for sure first animation shows sucks the guy they pick for show so amateur and creepy i was so excited to try different taste of food but big disappointed none had flavour just plain and our room supposed to be in circle building with see view they take as other building which is no view nothing only good think we were happy their workers was kind and helpful i wont recommend to anyone of my friends or family this hotel big disappointment waste of money
