Older property in need of updates, but a decent place to stay at night in the Duluth area.

Always a good time at barkers! Great staff and comfy rooms

Bathroom was missing a light bulb and one burnt out the floor looked dirty the shower handle was really weird to turn on looked like it was missing a part, the sink was hard to figure out. Seems like they really need to update their hotel.

Basic, no frills hotel. Rooms are pretty old and in need of updates. It was fine for a short stay. The breakfast at the restaurant is very tasty.

There was food in the fridge left from the previous tenant and no tissues or toilet paper in the bathroom. The beds were uncomfortable. The shower message unit was broken. No chairs in the room to sit and relax in. But that does not me the place was a downer. For as many people as there was staying there, it was quiet unless you went into the bar. I did like the place, but I do not think I will stay there again.

View was breathtaking. My granddaughter thought it was beautiful. Can’t wait to stay again.

Easy access. Restaurant attached is good for food and not overpriced.

Nice room and staff. The carpet needs cleaning or replaced. The water in the sink would not get hot and the showers faucets hot/cold was backward. We requested a main floor no stairs, we were given the second floor and almost to the end of the hall.

Was very disappointed because it was our wedding night and we researched a hotel that had a hot tub. The hot tub was cold and did not work properly and was finally closed the next morning. Also, the sauna did not work.

Booked thru hotels.com got a great rate for Sat. 7th. Check in was super quick!! Room was on other end from check in & parking was limited but room was super close. Lots of kids to hang with, my almost 11 and 16yr had a great time in the pool area (which inc. Sauna, bathrooms, changing area, a billiards table $1/game & air hockey, saw a few claw machines too. Pool itself is 3-5ft deep and larger than the typical hotel pool and was perfect for whippings toys and balls to insta- friends. I booked for the secluded location-feel. A water view no matter where your room. Big boats and docks to meanger on, a bikepath that follows the chanel on the other. The restaurant looked super cool and out door fire pit was easy to self-lit. But..the food was horrible. Ordered crab cakes and lemonade, no crab cakes, change my order, drinks arrive, no lemonade?? Bummer, then alfredo pasta arrives, my daughter asks if it tastes funny - we hesitated but tried..it was off...use caution on what you order..maybe it was still too early in the season & training was still happening. Room was basic & what I expected. The view, however, fully exceeded my expectations! 😀 you do have to look past the building itself...just know its seen a lot of happy people in and around it over the yrs! Classic family hotel with nature all around. Parents! Get up early and grab Dunkin..its close! Then soak in the morning sun, take a few photos of the passing boats & let the birds entertain you!

Loved being by the water.

Beautiful views of the bay. Quick access to downtown. The building and room were in average condition. Noisy fan in bathroom. Change of restaurant opening times from stated advertisement. Still, I would go again. One bit of advice. Since it's not just a hotel but a small convention center check what is going on there when you plan on attending. Out first full day there was a fishing tournament going on. Parking was bad. Noisy fisherman and boats very early in the morning. The second day (Sunday) there was a large gathering of what look like women and young girls. I had to park quite a distance from the building. There is only front parking for the most part. Our room was the farthest from the main entrance.

Check in was quick and convenient, staff was friendly, the restaurant was pretty decent. The rooms are pretty outdated and small, our TV was super pixelated, but our room was clean and fine overall for a one night stay. Would recommend if you aren’t super worried about those kind of things.

Incredibly dirty and run down. Found nail clippings in the room, food on the floor from the last occupants. It was not dusted. The bathroom had a strong odor to it and the shower curtain smelled musty and moldy. The bed was okay and the only clean part of the room. The pool was incredibly cold which made it hard to swim with our toddler. They also had carpet in the pool area which, because it had gotten wet, caused an unpleasant odor. Had we stayed more than one night, we would have checked out early.
