Great property on the quiet side of the island. The owner and staff were wonderful and the food in the restaurant amazing. If you are looking for the party scene stay on the other side of the island.

An excellent hotel in all ways. Beautiful location, stunning views from the beachfront rooms, lovely food and the best and most helpful hotel owner you could hope to find. Nothing is too much trouble at this resort , and prices are very reasonable. Visiting Amber Sands and the east coast is like going back in time in Thailand. If you're looking for a friendly, laid back resort with the option to have everything arranged easily for you by the hotel , this is the place for you. So stop searching, believe me you won't regret booking this hotel.

An ideal retreat to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life on the mainland. From check in to check out our hosts Simon and Sar made us feel at home. Highly recommended as a great location and base to explore the island from.

Amber Sands is without any doubts amazing place with the most helpfull owners and staff, located on East side of Koh Chang means that there are hardly any people around which is great if you are not party type:-)...than go rather on opposite side. Accommodation is perfect, clean, big enough with everything you need, pool is great with enough sea beds, restaurant is excellent - there are three restaurants on this beach but Amber Sands restaurant is the best one. Beach is nice altough not the white sand Maldives beach...rather gold sand with stones in water. Massages right on the beach are easy to recommend as they are as well very good for 400-450. The only negatives we found were some small problems with transport on East side of Island as most of the Songthaews are going only on west part and annoying early morning noise from centerpoint ferry and local fishing boats. Otherwise everything was 5star.

Fantastic stay for two nights in November 2018, everything was perfect.. tidy, clean, beautiful gardens and surroundings, friendly staff and equipment (paddle boards and kayaks) free to use.

The resort's on the quieter side of Koh Chang, which is exactly what we were looking for. There are three small resorts spread along the beach, and it never feels busy. The bungalows face towards the sea and are set in a semicircle around the pool. Our bungalow was comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean with both air con and a fan. The bed was king size and comfy. There's a swimming pool, and free-to-use kayaks and some beach toys for the kids. The restaurant's good - both properly tasty Thai food and some good western options. And some cracking cocktails! Finally, Simon and the staff were welcoming and very helpful, and made us feel right at home We had a great time, and would happily go back

The East coast is quiet and relaxing there are some great beaches and waterfalls to visit but you do need to hire a car or scooter. The hotel organized a driver for us for the day which was great as we got to visit the tranquil long beach with its clear blue waters. be aware it did take about 45 min to get there but was worth it! The hotel itself has a small pool and allows guests the use of its paddle board or two kayaks. The food is good and there are two other resorts nearby along the beach if you fancy a change. Serenity resort does a happy hour 4-7pm the cocktails are average pina colada is a good option. The room was nice the only downside is that the bed was quiet squeaky.

Family run resort, great helpful staff, quiet location with well maintained gardens, small but clean outdoor pool, free kayaks and surfboard. Nice restaurant and bar area. Rooms small but comfortable and well cleaned.

The resort is on the quieter side of the island. Lovely nice cottages and nice food! Staff were helpful. We had to cut short our stay for personal reasons. We shall try and come back again.

The hotel is run by a really nice family and they make you feel welcome no matter the time of day. They will also help to book different tours to your taste while on the island. The hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of white sand beach but still close enough to get a taxi or drive there for the evenings. The hotel is very private and served nice dinner with some great priced wine! We would recommend to people looking to have a quieter romantic trip rather than those looking to party.

This hotel has a very peronal feel to it ,the owners a lovely south african couple(Cherl and Julian) certainly make this the opposite of an impersonal bland hotel experience. Restaurant is great everything freshly bought-so much so you need to order the fish the night before! ,staff happy ,gardens fantastic ,views fabulous ,hotel quiet.Rooms are comforatble clean with great A/C .Bathrooms are fine but not plush .beach is swept. Amber sand is quietly located .It is not a corporate type hotel If you are looking for nightlife ,shopping a buzzy street nearby this is not for you.If you are looking for a delightful place to relax and unwind then it is perfect.Would have liked to have stayed longer

Når man tjekker ind her så ryger pulsen ned, her er så stille og roligt at man ikke kan andet end at slappe af.. fine bungalows og skøn udsigt fra deres Beach bungalow, hvor vi boede. Servicen er i top og personalet er super sødt og er gode til at holde sig i baggrunden.. ejeren ø, Simon, er super hjælpsom og assistere med billeje, gode råd mm

Très bel endroit au calme, décoré avec gout. Personnel super serviable. Nous avons passé 4 jours très agréables.
