What a lovely little hotel with super-friendly staff, good food and a great location. They arranged a trip to East and West bank and that was well priced and the guide was excellent. Packed breakfast for an early start was ready, waiting and delicious!

Nice breakfast, beautiful and quiet location. Great to have a lovely garden, swimming pool and quick access to the public ferry. Staff friendly but bills not always right. Watch out! Some unwelcome noise (construction noise finish late at night and start early in the morning). Hopefully this is a temporary problem. Despite these issues, we'd stay there again as the hotel offers good value and is welcoming.

Do NOT be fooled by their delightful pictures - the hotel is run down, dirty, uncared for and lacking in many basics. In our doulbe room, there was one broken coathanger for us both - I ask for more - none came, so nowhere to hang clothes. Bed WAS comfortable however. The bathroom bin was again filthy and the shower curtain stained bacteria pink at the bottom. Soap is provided. The pool area is in need of upgrading - the sun lounger pads are filthy. Garden could be lovely - again if it was cared for, Owners/staff lie about the foyer making walking through feel uncomfortable. Breakfast was varied, but cold! Cold rice, cold scrambled eggs. No-one spoke any english to understand request for butter. Lastly they askED for $25 to take us to train station. We refused. One of their team asked us again 5 times right up until we were walking out the door, coming down to $10. We had already decided to go independently by ferry and in-drive taxi - costing us £5. They get you beer from elswhere which you have to pay in cash

The property is beautiful with lovely gardens and a little pool. The room could probably do with a bit of updating but for me it was fine for the price. There was a power cut both mornings I was there. Not sure how frequent this happened as I was only there 2 nights and was out all day on both days. Both times the power was back on within about 10/15 minutes and I wasn’t in the shower at the time so not too much of a problem. Shower was nice and hot. Location is great. It’s a 5 minute walk to both the local shops and the corniche where you can get a boat across the Nile to the east bank

Not safe for travelers. The manager is not a professional. At 5pm on Feb 22 Sunday, he banged on my door, in a hoodie, without identifying himself. He demanded $25 for airport tranfer. Then I realized this was the manager, one Bahaa. I asked him if that was him, and offered my hand. He merely said $25 dollars. The room itself is clean but very shabby. The linens are ragged. The water heater leaks. None of the electric sockets or lights work. Do not be fooled by the nice garden. Americans and Europeans whe expect professionalism will not be happy. I left the next day for a hotel free of the scams being run from this establishment. Make it easy on yourself, go somewhere safe and clean.

Beautiful location and very nice staff members. The manager, Baha, was very kind and accommodating, especially when we accidentally got the hotel location wrong for our late night check in. The garden was beautiful but the Wi-Fi was very poor in the room. We also were scratching ourselves in the night because, we think, it may have been a cleaning product used in the bed? The breakfast wasn't anything special.

Great little hotel on the West Bank. Clean, safe, comfortable. Nice pool. Easy walk to the riverfront, near good local restaurants. Owners helped arrange tours, and laundry. Very nice.

The staff were deceitful and creepy. My group was 3 women and they followed us. The hotel concept is beautiful, but the rooms are not clean and there are bugs everywhere. My friend was bit 11 times on her back and 3 on her ankle withing 6 minutes of sitting at the outdoor eating area. The food was not fresh and likely made a few days prior. We were there for only an hour and re-booked a new hotel immediately. I requested a refund and they refused expedia any compensation.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a little oasis on the west side. Close to all the sights on that side of the river but also close to the boats that can take you to the east side with all the other temples. The hotel was in good condition, we really enjoyed the courtyard! The food was good, breakfast was a buffet. The pool was great too, even if a little too chilly for me (we went in early March). The staff asking for tips was not necessary, but everything else was great. Our room (family of 5) was spacious and everything was clean. The mattress could have been a little softer ;) but we all survived ;)

I booked the wrong days, I called to explain this to the front desk and I received no help. Instead the person at the front desk try to charged me double for one extra night telling me in a rude way pay or go. You will be pressed for tips even if they do nothing for you. The only polite and nice people were the kitchen staff. Be aware you get what you paid for! Our room was dirty and there was no mattress covers, just a sheet between you and a very old and dirty mattress. I had to go and get extra bedsheets to cover the mattresses. The bathroom was dirty and the fridge inside the room was not working and it smelled bad.

The property is alot larger than the description so there is alot of quiet areas to lounge and relax. The staff were all attentive and pleasant but also respected our privacy without too buch bother. The included breakfast was the best we had in all of Africa and did not get bored of it in our week stay. The only complaint was the WIFI and television. There was no wifi in the rooms and though you could connect in the common areas the data rate was so slow many webpages would not even load.

The property was wonderful although a shame that their internet was not working and we had to go the the nearby Thebes restaurant or the El Gezira Hotel for this. I do not know if this was only temporary or always the case.

It is not a hotel or a lodge or anything but just a old dilapidated place with rude manager with no professionalism or courtesy. I warn bot to stay at this dingy place tucked inside a dirty road with leaky bathrooms, no room facility or service, no charging points and hardly any lights and a hugely damp smelly funny dining room and food
