It had an Onsen on sight which was nice. It’s a nice place and close to station. The beds are basically mattresses (futons) on the floor. This means very firm so for those who need more padding like my old body it can be a stiff night of sleep. Staff very friendly and for the money for 5 people it was great

The property is a little old and it shows in some areas but overall it was a great experience. The staff were all amazing and the bathhouse was excellent. Very short walk to the train and bus station.

Clean, quiet & a very cute location without tourists and crowds. My family enjoyed the serenity after spending 2 days in Tokyo and very close to snow monkey park allowing us to be the first ones there. Def recommend!!

I have used Hotels.com for travels in Vietnam, Greece, Turkey, England , Ireland and Australia over the last few years and this is the first time that I feel that I have been cheated. The description and photos of the rooms are not just inaccurate but are a total and deliberate misrepresentation. Noting about the rooms was truthful and the hotel was in a state of disrepair, from cracked windows, chipped walls and a strong smell of smoke throughout the building. Although we had booked and paid for 3 days, we cut our losses and left after the first night. ( we would not have stayed even the first night but there was no accommodation to be had near bye. If you are considering this hotel look carefully at the photos and as yourself why they are miscoloured and unclear. This alone should be enough to warn you. Do not stay here.I would also love to know where the glowing reviews came from.

Your typical onsen hotel. We're suprised with the size of the room. For japanese standard it is huge especially for the rate. Comfy futon and quite tasty breakfast.

Very close to Yudanaka station with spacious rooms and comfortable futons, even for westerners. Also has a very japenese experience, and authentic, mineral hotspring in the foyer.

Five minutes walk from the train station. Good hot springs facilities, Free morning ride to the Snow Monkey Park, kind and helpful front desk staff and good. Japanese breakfast. Lack of hotel signage made it difficult to find the property. Had to ask another hotel for directions.

The location wasn't what we thought it would be for our ski vacation. We should have splurged for a place at a ski area, or alternatively drive another 10-15 min for a place in Nakano.

Traditional hotel with original unique features. Friendly, caring and supportive staff. Beautiful views. No shoes allowed throughout. Slippers provided. Traditional robes provided. Towels and toothbrushes. Free bus service provided in the mornings to the snow monkey park. Small 1.9k walk required. Delicious ramen restaurant 10 seconds away from hotel entrance for dinner.

This was our first stay in a Ryokan. The room was large, clean and old (but that is to be expected). Great hotel to stay at when visiting the Monkey Park.

It was lovely staying in a traditional Japanese hotel so very close to the station, where we got the bus to see the snow monkeys. All in all a good experience.
