Very comfortable 1-night stay. Convenient location for the city centre, with lots of restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The room was nice and well-kept, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. No parking available when we arrived, but we were able to find a space in the public car park next to it after waiting for 10 mins for a space to free up.

EXCELLANT HOTEL

Our overnight stay was great, couldn't fault the environment, even smelt amazing! Breakfast was plentiful and had vegan options without even asking which was great. We did have some noisy neighbouring guests who had obviously been sampling the York nightlife but nothing that couldn't be fixed with a pair of earplugs!

Been staying at Hotel Indigo York for a few years. Last time we had issues with unhelpful receptionist, not enough staff at breakfast and a £50 security charge (not a hold) to our CC that took too long to be refunded. This time our the £50 was not taken as a charge and was a security hold. Glad they took notice of the issue raised by a number of customers. Unfortunately, there were still not enough staff to serve breakfast and look after customers as well as expected. The staff who were working did their best though. There was a time when the Hotel Indigo was a premium stay and worth the extra cost, compared to other local hotels. Unfortunately, cost cutting is evident and it impacts on the guest experience. We booked a premium room for 2 nights for people. 1 bag of crisps & 1 pack of 2 biscuits & 2 very small cartons of cheap water. Previously, there was enough for 2 people and the fridge had a small chocolate bar, bottles of water and soft drinks that were replenished during the stay. A very pleasant receptionist was asked about this as I had wondered if a single traveller got one biscuit and half a bag of crisps? She apologised and said that she would ensure it was addressed whilst we were out during the day. Unfortunately, we came back to exactly the same allocation. Not a big deal but little things mean a lot!! Its likely we will look at other hotels in the area as Hotel Indigo York appears no longer worth the extra cost and no longer feels premium.

Excellent stay. Everywhere was so clean. The breakfast was lovely and food cooked to order as well as a buffet continental.

I came away for a few days alone after a breakup this was our favourite place so very difficult. I was made to feel welcome the second I entered the building till the second I left. Thank you

We have enjoyed our stay here although the noise factor of doors slamming was a problem. I believe this was due to guests and cleaning staff. Generally staff were very helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble.

My room was very comfortable and clean. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently situated only a few minutes walk from the city centre. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to York.

While a nice hotel in terms of decor and style, unfortunately the shower came on several times randomly thought the night, bed and pillows uncomfortable and sounds of outdoor corridor loud. Nice facilities and lovely staff, but poor nights sleep.

Very nice hotel but not really 4 star. Staff were excellent, location is great and overall satisfaction was high. Would have no hesitation to recommend this hotel

Very good location. Walkable to all the sites and plenty of food options. Hotel was lovely and rooms decent size and clean. Staff were friendly.

Lovely clean hotel good location

Positives: Friendly check-in and staff. Clean good-size room. Good price for York. Hotel seems in good condition. Neutral: Mistake made at check-in which would have charged me twice for the room had I not checked. It was sorted out quickly when pointed out. Negative: Breakfast had a good selection but coffee is from an automatic machine and not good. Both had Eggs Benedict which wasn't great.

Very nice stay. Beautiful, spacious bedroom and a fantastic bathroom.

Really nice hotel but shocked to see my receipt when I got home. Lots of small service charges for bringing my drinks and dinner to my table !!!

Hotel was clean. The room was cosy, with an enormous bed!!!! Breakfast was very nice with a large selection, I particularly liked the hot food being ordered rather than buffet.
