Just a winter break

I liked staying there. The room was nice. I'll be back.

The resort is very nice. Our stay was during winter. Our room was clean, very comfortable and quiet. Would love to come back in the summer. Looks like a fun place.

King size bed was actually 2 twin mattress’s pushed together.

This is my 4th visit to Ruttgers. We stayed in a room in the Five Pines. Very basic. I liked the other rooms better. I think they are slowly upgrading the place. No hair dryer as it states or I would of brought my own.

very cozy stay

Resort looks a bit tired. It was Octoberfest weekend so very busy. Main dining room options were limited with Octoberfest. Breakfast buffet was not inviting. We dined all meals elsewhere. Was charged an extra fee above reservation quote. Expedia credited me back that fee. Some of the accommodations there look to be very nice but more than we were looking to spend. Our 2-queen room was very standard. No maid service. Had to find someone to request extra towels but still paid over $600 for the 2 nights. Surrounding property is beautiful.

Very dated decor and lights. The shower head has about a two inch around spray of water, more like pellets. Pressure was fine, just a very small old shower head.

Beautiful property and friendly staff

The property needs updating, including the bathroom shower to justify the daily rate. No mention of resort fees during booking.

Property was in very good condition, staff was friendly and helpful. Will plan another stay there.

Worst experience ever

This was our 4th time at Ruttgers. We had a great time! We had a wonderful suite with a patio, jetted tub, kitchen and an upstairs room with a balcony. There were also fireplaces in the unit which would be great for a stay in the fall. We ate lunch on the golfcourse and the food was good. Service was ok there. Later we dined on the deck and listened to live music. Good service. My son loved the swimming beach, and we also used the indoor pool and hotub. The resort has a classic feel, with really everything you need right there.

Asked for a lake view loft which there were empty room that we could see. We got the road view. We look forward to trying one of the new cabins which were not quite ready. Love Bay Lake and the location of this resort.
