Don't judge this book by its cover! My room was fresh and lovely, the bath sparkling and updated. King bed was comfortable, fridge micro and coffee clean and worked great. Spacious with couch and wardrobe. Enjoyed walking trails from the hotel.

Given that there are very few options in the area, this one shines above the rest given its connection (the town is literally owned by the Inn owner) to the general store, museum and Cross bar Cafe and Salon.

Place was nice and updated. The kitchenette was perfect for we had brought microwaveable dinners. Fyi free breakfast consisted self service of bagels and yogurt.

Your stay was wonderful! The room was clean and comfortable. We just stayed only 1 night but there are a couple of trails around the hotel. We had a great relaxing time to the pool.

As an EV owner, there was no reliable way to drive through Death Valley due to the distance between charging stations. The owner of the Shoshone Inn worked with Rivian to put a great level 3 charging station (which includes two trailer pull-through chargers) which also includes four free level 2 chargers. As a guest of the Inn (which is across the street), I was able to level 2 charge overnight without having to try and milk my EV to Baker (54 miles away). The hotel looks like an old roadside motel but the room we had had been remodeled and was very nice. We enjoyed our stay though we met another guest who said she could hear every little thing from her neighboring rooms. Fortunately, we didn’t experience this. Nice place and well set up if your EV can use the Rivian station and also great if you want to level 2 charge with their four free J1772 level 2 chargers. It was 175 miles from Trona to this charger and there are 3,500 foot passes in and out of Death Valley so this location really helps make at least the southern part of Death Valley EV accessible.

Very upscale for a small refurbished motel in the desert. Good location for exploring several very close hikes for bird viewing and exploring the desert environment. Good location with easy access to Death Valley. Restaurant across the street was good.

This motel is a gem! Clean, quiet, good free breakfast, close to Death Valley National park and a bonus hot springs fed swimming pool! The best place we stayed in during our time in the area! Strongly recommend!

Great, quiet place. The rooms are small but clean. The kitchenette has mini fridge, kettle and microwave. The office has electric stove, which I guess the guest could use but didn’t see anyone using it. They offer free bagels and coffee in the morning, which is very convenient given the remoteness of the location. The pool is clean and warm and about 10 min walk from the hotel. There is gas station, convince store, and crowbar cafe. Overall, great experience! Would return

Nice and quiet place just out side of the park. Saloon across the street. Rivian EV charging station also across the street from the hotel. At the time of my visit, the Rivian level II charger was free for all.

Surprisingly nice. Everything has been updated. The courtyard is vibey. The rooms are all modern and renovated. The shower was shockingly really nice. Seriously the nicest little roadside motel I’ve stayed at. The perfect spot to stay when visiting Death Valley.
