We stumbled upon this campsite by chance. Without any particular expectations, this experience turned out to be the most memorable part of our entire trip. The place is incredibly beautiful, and if you're looking for a unique experience during your travels, this is definitely the perfect spot for you. Surrounded by stunning nature, this location allows you to slow down and take a proper rest. The staff here are extremely friendly, providing detailed explanations to help you understand the facilities and activities available at the campsite. What makes this place special is the variety of activities they offer, which change every week. We were lucky enough to experience the sauna. The sauna building is uniquely designed and adorable, with beautiful interiors and a lovely woody aroma. The experience left us feeling healthier and filled with endorphins. I recommend checking their website before your trip to see what free activities are available on the day of your stay. Even if the sauna is a paid experience, it’s absolutely worth it. The dinner here was also exceptionally delicious, featuring fresh local ingredients, offering a dining experience different from eating at restaurants elsewhere. I highly recommend it. If you want to connect with nature but don’t want to go through the hassle of traditional camping and bringing lots of equipment, this type of glamping is perfect. This is an absolute hidden gem!

We had a fantastic stay here! The staff Alex and the team, were super friendly and had even planned daily group activities. We ordered the dinner set and it was incredible! We were able to get a ride to and from the train station, which was greatly appreciated. I would recommend giving them a call if you need to (we just used a payphone) as there was issues with sending messages on this website. The staff can speak English and Japanese! and were super foreigner friendly. The scenery was absolutely stunning and they even had swimwear and water shoes to rent if you wanted to go for a dip or use the saunas! Our cabin was beautiful, and clean. Our only regret would be not spending longer here :) Thank you Alex and the team for our incredible stay!

This place is a bit special. Lovely setting next to river. Staff very friendly and facilities clean. Stayed in a tree house one night. Was a great memorable experience. Used an e-bike and went around the local area, past rice fields and old shrines. One of the highlights of our trip to Japan.

This place had a very adult summer camp feel. I came right before the summer busy season so it was very quiet. The river was lovely and peaceful and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I got breakfast included which was a nice way to start the day. They also offer dinner which was simple, but delicious. I really wish I had more time to spend here, the area was so beautiful!

We had such a great time at Satonotabi Resort Lodge! We booked tree houses and they had space for us to sleep and store our luggage. They're equipped with smart air con units too, so no need to worry about being too hot or too cold. Only thing I would improve is maybe an extra futon as the flooring is harder than a tatami, so the single slim futon wasn't the most comfy. But the camp site is beautiful and quiet. The staff is great and friendly, always happy to help. Even better, for foreign travellers like us, they speak English really well so it was the easiest stay of our entire trip. While we had our own plans to visit the area, there are plenty activities organised / available on site too, and I'd happily come back to try them next time. Also, the food was really excellent! We took the half board option, and it was one of the best meals we had. I would love to come back, I had such a great time. Highly recommend the place!

The direction given on the confirmation email was wrong. When we click on the direction button, it has directed us to a mountain top that was 9 km away. The phone no given was also wrong when we input into the GPS in the car which has directed us to the same wrong location. Only the google map gave the correct direction. The information given on the hotel.com website was wrong about the tree room having a toilet. The tree house has nothing but two Japanese tatamis. Don’t forget to ask for your towel before going to the common bathroom. Common toilet was clean and not too far away from the tree house. Breakfast was very good. The staff was very helpful. There is a river next to the hotel which was nice. My wife didn’t like the hotel when we arrived at night. But the environment that she saw in the morning had gained some credits. So the overall experience was nice.

We could not have asked for a better time at the lodge! The environment was stunning and all the staff members were friendly and welcoming. We arrived way past the check in time but the staff still allowed us to barbecue and really enjoy the naturalistic environment the lodge had to offer. The only drawback is that the location was a little hard to find and it would be better if you can lock the bathroom door. Would strongly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a unique experience in Japan!

staff were friendly and super helpful, you can find them easily beside the lodge even at the late night. The super clean tree house equipped with air-con, a desk and two simple Japanese style mattress that truly a bit hard for us at the first night , but we still sleep so well after a day long exploring. negative side? yes, we need to climb up and down to the toliet everytime, so better to rent a bigger cabins with toliet if you don't need to share the toliet. lodges located in the center of the main attraction of Fukuoka such as Harajili fall, Takachiho, Mount Aso,Yufu, Beppu hot springs. those are easy to drive to from the lodges. super fit for travel by car, stay at the lodges as a central point and explore the attractions nearby. supermarket and convenient shop was just five minutes drive. you could buy some stuffs for BBQ and cooking in the kitchen. need to taste different restaurant and shop in huge supper store ? Bungoono City was just 15 mins drive away. don't want to cook? they have breakfast provides with cheap price., I recommend to try their bungo beef and local chicken dinner, that was so tasty and unique, in reasonable price as well. will definitely return for the big carbin.

Wonderful. I could've stayed an extra week! I heard that most guests only pass through for a couple of days. What a shame! If you have the time or need a break from city life, this is a great spot. Cute treehouse-shaped cabins with a hammack. This is glamping, so - no widescreen TV, but the space is well heated and cooled by a wall unit, just like in most hotels or apartments. Tucked into the mountains, the property runs along a river. You can stroll along a man-made walkway (right in the water), and I heard that people can swim in warmer months. There isn't much to do in walking distance from the resort, but Yuki who manages the lodge is very sweet and will help in any way possible, including offering lifts to the train station. When we said goodbye, he asked if my stay wasn't too boring. Are you kidding? Bring a camera for the misty sunrises! Chase some butterflies! Listen to the babbling waterfall off in the distance. Nature is not boring and this lodge is the perfect way to experience it!

I originally chose a place in Taketa as a mid-point for a rest before driving to Tackachio from Kokonoe Yume. But I was attracted by this remote area. However, it cannot be detected by Navi by inputting the phone nos. I asked for immediate help from the staff through email for a map code and I've got it in 30 minutes. Though the house and the facilities are simple, they are exceptionally clean and surrounded by a beautiful environment. We also had delicious food (bungo cattle and chicken) and served by the staff. A special experience to a tourist like me as we generally only go to the major landmarks. After checking out, we went to the waterfall which is surprisingly marvellous and only 15min drive away with the map code searched by the staff for me.

到着日にはログハウスにクーラーを入れておいていただき、心配りのある清潔で素晴らしい施設です。必要な用具とかも快く貸してもらえます。ただ、高冷地にあるキャンプと比べると暑いのは難点です。しかたのないことですが。
