Loved the property and staff was amazing

Very nice and not crowded, so if you want to relax it is the place to be

It’s a beautiful hotel that has almost everything you need from an all-inclusive resort. They started us off with champagne when we arrived. In the evenings, they had shows, silent disco, karaoke, dancing. They also have a pool table and ping pong tables outside so you can play anytime as a group. They have a tennis court as well and have instructors. The rooms were nice and big. All the rooms had a balcony and a small private jacuzzi on the balcony. The bathroom was big but has no privacy so if you’re sharing a room as a non-couple, it can get pretty awkward. We also booked a room with 2 double beds because there were 3 people in the room. When we got there, the room only had a king size bed and they told us that the double bed was based on availability. The pools are 4ft deep so it’s easy to lounge. The pools were unclean- there was always bugs and other dirt inside The jacuzzis were disappointing as rarely were they actually hot.

I would have given 5 star but this resort host a Fake Bout Tour operator named Peter who sits downstairs sells Catamaran Boat Snorkel trip. The boat was a fake - not Catamaran, horrible onboard food and attitude of boat staff, another family of 5 people and myself upon complaint next day he said he will refund our money, he also gave us receipt of refund & said 5 days to refund, But after 1 week no refund, Upon enquiry back from Canada he said he will not refund. Total Fraud "Peter" and therefore will never go back to this Resort again

I like the property. I wish our pool was cleaned more frequently and that there were more traditional foods from the island were available.

Food needs a lot of improvement. The property also was not clean. I had a swim out pool and nobody came to pick up the empty drink cups for 2 days. The entire resort needs renovation, you can tell that the property is old. The staff members were awesome especially Maritza who worked in the pool area. Thank you for being so attentive and making my trip fun.

The property was beautiful and the staff were nice and attentive. The food however was not good. The only place that I could get something that was tasty & satisfying was the smoothie bar & the gelato place. Literally every restaurant that we dined at had food that was either not flavorful or over flavored with salt.

This resort had some good qualities, but I think suffered from an identity crisis. It was marketed as a quiet place for adults, you had a dress code for meals, no loud music was allowed (per their website), which set some expectations. However, the entertainment each night started about 7, pm, playing heavy base music so loud you could hear it across the grounds to the ocean side. Our room was over the disco which went until 1am, and could be felt and heard in our room due to the heavy base. Felt more like a party crowd hotel rather than upscale resort. There are a reported "22" pools on the grounds, however the plunge pool with our room was merely a hot tub that wasn't hot. The count of pools is a marketing gimmick. Only 1 pool is accessible to guests unless you want to pay extra to visit the "members" pool, which was tiny. The employees were mostly not very friendly nor helpful, only about 25% were pleasant to deal with. The night manager would not help us move to a quieter room and barely even talked with us; we had to escalate the issue. The positives are the food. Every meal was very good to great! We went shoulder season, but the beach also had plenty of space for everyone. The waters themselves were not as turquoise blue as I expected. We won't go back. There were also so many peddlers on the beach, we were literally approached every 15 mins. But we made the most of our stay. I don't recommend .

We had an amazing time! Staff was super friendly. The room was beautiful. The food was excellent! We plan to return as soon as we can!

We had a great time! The El Carman by Excellence was a wonderful resort. Absolutely loved our room with the private pool. Dining options were spot on. Only drawback were the vendors on the beach trying to sell stuff.
