No Freezer! We were not aware of this before we arrived and we had just bought a tub of icecream to have as dessert. I asked if they had a freezer that we could just store it in for a couple of hours and the male staff member was very rude.

This was my first time ‘in prison’ so I was skeptical. Despite rooming w 3 other blokes (it was a snoring competition), the room was clean and cool - the AC worked great! The amenities were plentiful!… HUGE kitchen, large area to ‘hang out’, washer & dryer facilities and daily events. Despite being sold out, the place was surprisingly very quiet. The location was less than a 10 minute walk to Freemantle’s shopping and restaraunt area. Also a 5 min walk to the Freemantle Prison tours (4 on offer) - the best tour was the underground tunnel tour!!!) All-in-all, if you don’t mind sharing a room, this place was well worth the price!

Room was clean and everything was easy to find. Very quiet. Staff at reception were very helpful and friendly.

An interesting place for a night’s stay, but it is a Youth Hostel, not a hotel 🙂 Stayed in one of en-suite rooms, purpose built out at the back of the place. Room is functional, clean, reasonably spacious with a TV, fridge and effective aircon but no tea/coffee/cups/glasses etc - though of course, being a Youth Hostel there is a fully equipped kitchen available.

No amenities and the WiFi is not great. Staff are very friendly and the location is amazing. Over all, a pleasant experience

Great staff good company

A short one night stay in a quiet private room with shower. Fairly plain rom but it did the job. Only real complaint is no cups to use for even a drink of water

Rooms, bathrooms and kitchen are all clean. Staff and all guests are kind!!

It was an experience to stay at Fremantle prison overnight. The accomodation is central to everything Fremantle 😊

The staff were amazing and went out of your way to make the stay great! However the room was not so clean with stains on the sheets and cigarettes in the lockers inside the room.

A fun stay, reasonable price, with easy walk to the markets and Main Street.

Easy check-in experience. Linens provided were wonderful. Comfortably fit two people into the room.

Centrally located from the main attractions (Fremantle market, city centre, jetty). Safe and quiet neighbourhood. Easily walkable. Unfortunately, there was no hot water in the unisex bathroom I used.

Loved my stay here! It wasn't the nicest place but it's a prison so that is to be expected, and I thought it being a bit run-down made the experience more authentic. I do wish I was able to explore more of the buildings without having to pay for a tour though...

All good but some other passengers very noise and no respect for people sleeping
