Food was lovely

Our executive room (20) on the ground floor overlooked a wooden shed with plastic leaves on it. Bathroom had broken free standing toilet roll holder. Hazard for my husband. No toilet brush. Shower very difficult to work and access narrow. Drawers tiny so you could not store shirts. Wardrobe full of bedding so again could not store shoes or long dresses. Whilst we were warned of "musical event" on the Saturday night, the extremely loud music started at 5.30. We were not prepared for bad language and threat of aggressive physical fights. Our drink in the bar was very unpleasant. We could not have stayed in our room due to noise.

Such a beautiful hotel with lovely staff. Be mindful that the town does not have AC at every hotel, but the George hotel has AC depending on the room that you pick. So choose wisely.

Great hotel, rooms adequate and clean, bar and restaurant great but it is the fantastic staff that makes this hotel excellent. From checking in to checking out, every single member of staff demonstrated a fantastic attitude and could not do enough for the guests. Well done

The bedroom was small but clean & comfortable. The outside space could have been swept as it was very warm & great to sit outside for a pre-dinner drink. Breakfast choice was good although the orders both mornings didn’t quite get right. Great location for the train station only 10 mins taxi ride.

We had dinner in the Admiral Bistro & delicious food. Thank you. Car park.

Clean and well presented, staff lovely. Be aware bar and restaurant get very busy at times as restaurant is popular with locals - have stayed multiple times and will stay again

When you have a teenager in tow it’s hard to find a unique hotel that can accommodate both in the same room but maintain privacy. The George is the perfect place. It’s in a great location and prior to booking I had no idea how nice the bar and restaurant was. I’m from the USA but have family in Norwich. We’ll be back.

Walked from the station to this lovely hotel on a nice spring evening and was pleasantly surprised by this lovely little hotel in a leafy suburb of Norwich. Reception staff were friendly and offered food in the connected restaurant / pub and or a drink. It felt homely in the good sense and the room was quiet, clean and comfy. Overall I really liked this spot. Doesn’t feel like a chain hotel, but not drab like some pub hotels can feel like. Would stay again.

3 night business stop over . Stayed here before , my definitely’ go to ‘ hotel when in the Norwich area .

The team serving were attentive and interested to ensure we received what we liked. The food quality was excellent with large satisfying plates for both dinner and breakfast. We would like to recommend it to anyone intending to stay there.

Great location, lovely reception and restauarant staff. Took a single room which was a great price. bed very comfy. Felt stair and room carpet wasn’t properly vacuumed and maybe needed a good clean. restaurant was very cute; nicely decorated. All in all very happy with the place and may be staying again later this week.

Beautiful hotel, staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely pubs nearby and close to town. Would highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely stay again.

Nice hotel with very helpful and friendly staff . Room was on the small side but very comfortable and quite modern. Parking is limited if they have a function but staff made an effort to find me a space. Could hear the music from function in room but finished by 9:30 - 10pm. Food in the restaurant was wonderful and had a good range and atmosphere.

The room was noisy from all the air-con units outside the window. Also got smell from the kitchen extractors when had the window open for fresh air, they need extending by 3m. As for eco why would you change the towels every day on a a 3 night stay. No split bins for recycling as per continent.

Can not fault my staff at The George Hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and beautifully decorated. The location was only a 15 minute walk into city centre. Would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

A fabulous welcome from the staff as I arrived. Easy parking in a fairly large carpark, though it is a first come first served basis. Lovely quiet room and clean and immaculate. A nice walk into Norwich, about a mile. Very good food menu and extremely attentive staff. I would recommend.

Hotel was nice and clean but the walls were very thin and you could hear everything outside.

Had a very pleasant overnight stay. Staff were friendly. Felt safe being solo.
