Just staywd here for one night to see the kelpies at night.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was just what we needed with bath and shower. The restaurant at the hotel was ace, local people come to eat and they book up, the menu is wonderful and the food taste amazing. They have a function room for party which we didn’t see but saw people use. All broad is bed and breakfast is a Scottish breakfast buffet, the kitchen staff will also make different types of eggs, which was great as am lactose intolerant.

Room was clean and tidy. Got a bit warm with sun facing window. The window restrictor was broken so felt uneasy about leaving it open over night.

Always have a great meal deal

Not great, the first room door didn’t close when we tried to leave the room, got another room, this room only had 1 bedside table, why? duvet cover had a small hole on it. We arrived for breakfast in the morning at 9.40-9.45, breakfast was cold, the only hot thing was the toast which I made, breakfast was up to 10am so I would have thought it should still be hot, I guess you have to arrive for breakfast early.

Building is very hot like walking around in a sauna, beds very firm. Friendly staff

Efficiency, helpful, bar attentive, had only one dinner but did not disappoint, reception advice as I didn’t know the area.

Bathroom was small

Food was really nice and very well priced drinks were a good price to.

We had asked for a room on a high floor, which we were given. However, it was a cold day and we turned up the radiator, to find that it was not working. We pointed this out to Reception, who were very pleasant who gave us the key for the room next door. Before moving our things we thought we had better check the room. We found the radiator in that room was not working either, and ended up borrowing the duvet from that room. Lamps hanging off walls, things needing dusted and, apart from the lobby and Reception area, the hotel felt as if it could do with a good refurbishment throughout. They seemed to have run out of a lot of things. Ingredients for the drinks we ordered had run out, and for the alternatives we asked for. I asked for porridge at breakfast. They had run out of that too. The best I can say for it is that the staff were very pleasant, but I wouldn't stay there again.

Welcoming reception staff on arrival. Good sized room with modern bathroom. Excellent breakfast and a delicious lunch menu. A good option at this price point. The friendly efficient staff made the stay all the more enjoyable.

The hotel is in need of some refurbishment. The room was mainly clean apart from cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling!

Property and surrounding areas are great.
