We appreciated the surroundings of this small hotel as well as the big clean pool. Sun loungers but unfortunately no umbrellas. Nicely kept gardens. Our room with balcony was good but could have done with a bit of tlc, like other parts of the hotel. Especial the daily housekeeping crew did a fantastic job with fresh bed linens, towels, replenishment etc. Great shower pressure , wifi good. Tv but no english or other foreign language channels. Big bed with good quality bed linen, mattress borderline firm, new white towels. Free shuttle service to/from town. Upon check in were informed of having to pay key deposit of 500 baht or passport. Not mentioned on booking site nor in hotel policy. Breakfast was unsatisfactory. For a place that caters to a lot of western tourist they for sure don't go the extra mile to have a bit more choice. Every day, irregardless of what time breakfast was taken, the food was cold. I can not understand why they did not turn on the warming elements the dishes were on???i found the food unimaginative and boring with after 3 days a repeat of the same repertoire ... Coffee not good. It's an easy going walk into town and the surrounding are great with a beaut view of the white Buddha on the hill behind the hotel. We did extend our stay as we enjoyed the surroundings , the cleanliness of the room and the pool . By than we had given up on breakfast... we were however caught out by increased building activities (house being built close to pool area as well as maintenance on rooms) those last four days. Nothing relaxing about building noises during a holiday, some staff members made an effort, others were in their own world. Would have scored higher if not for the building noises. Guests should be notified so they can make an informed decision re booking or not during a construction period!
