I came here for its proximity to the Osaek trail head of Seoraksan National Park. The hotel is very convenient in that sense. Additionally, the intercity bus drops you off at the trail head, so it’s a short walk to the hotel. I ate at the hotel restaurant and was satisfied. About 5-10 minutes by walking is the Osaek spring and a number of restaurants.

It was a bit outdated but the location and service were very good. If you want to hike up to Daecheongbong (shortest and toughest hiking route), this hotel is located about 400m from the hiking starting point!

The hotel (or rather a place to crash for the night) is located in in great hiking distance to several trails. The staff was decent when checking in as well. Once we got to the room, we realized that all the rooms were empty, and soon found 5 blanket mattresses within each of the closets. Hotel.com marketed this place with futon beds, which they most definitely were not. The mattresses were not comfortable to us foreigners, so take a sleeping bag if you plan on going here. The place was clean as can be, but old and outdated. They did have signs on our bathroom door to watch out for some green colored bugs, however, we did not see any during our stay there. We did have a mountain view from our balcony so that was a win. Overall, it was a unique experience for our group, but if you are looking for a comfy bed after a long day of hiking, you may want to reconsider.

Sauna was great but the hot springs was a Korean bath tub house...not the beautiful hot spring that I imagined. It is close to the Osaek trail and the way to the hotel is beautiful because the hotel is located at the base of the mountain. We has the most delicious Korean meal outside of the hotel in the local restaurant that served all the yummy Korean mountain herbs. Would stay at Greenyard again because of the proximity to Soeraksan, the yummy Korean restaurants, and the most beautiful views. The facility needs to be updated but it is clean.

It seemed like the nicest hotel in the area. The hot baths, steam room and sauna were special. Especially good after a long hike.

Beautiful location and great hot spring baths. Hotel is rather worn, but clean and good enough. Beds were quite firm, as is common in Korea.

This was a great option for me and my family. (Wife,me,15,5,2,1). Great price over holiday weekend compared to other places in the area. The place is a bit dated but that was part of the appeal for us and again the price was good. The people were amazing and they had someone who spoke English anytime we needed at the front desk. Highly recommend for families, couples. Not really a place for singles unless because of location unless you are an avid solo hiker, cyclist, etc.

I think some of the rooms have been renovated more recently, but ours was outdated and dingy. If it had been cleaner I could have overlooked the condition of the room, but there were noticeable stains (that could/should have been cleaned) on the bedding, floor, and furniture. Also, a previous guest's sock was hanging out under the floor. In addition, there were fingerprints visible all over the glass door leading out to the balcony and the countertop. We stayed two days and the room was not cleaned for our second day. They also did not provide us with clean towels, which was really a necessity considering they only provide one tiny towel per guest and even though we had all hung up our towels in the morning, they had not dried by the next day. When my husband called to ask for more towels, they said that we should have had them in the room...the previous day the beds had not been made, so our room had obviously not been visited by the cleaning staff. (This is typical of Korean pensions, but I think as they were advertising themselves as a hotel that this should have been done.) Positives: the room was unexpectedly spacious- it would have definitely slept more than the 3 guests we were promised. It had a dressing room and two sleeping rooms-really more of a suite than a basic room. Also, the bathroom was very clean and the new air-conditioning unit worked amazingly well.
