From the welcome we received to the farewell the level of personal service we received from the owners Albert and Elsa were unparalleled. Very tastefully decorated, spotless and in a beautiful location overlooking the river. We only stayed one night but will definitely return and stay longer. Loved our stay.

Great guest house. Hosts were amazing and gave great recommendations of things to do in the area and restaurants. Lots of information provided before we arrived which was also super helpful. Riverside lodge in Oudtshoorn is an amazing guest house. Every last detail in the room and lodge is thoughtfully planned to the enjoyment of guests. Big and spacious rooms, Beautifully decorated, spotlessly cleaned. Breakfast was a delight. Plenty and tasty. Its definitely the best guesthouse we've ever been in. Thank you Elza and Albert for being perfect hosts.

Excellent location by the river and short walk to restaurants. The owners were very friendly and helpful and had thought of everything- even a very well stocked honesty bar. Lovely terrace to have breakfast and small plunge pool with recliners etc to relax by. Room was also lovely and had everything needed

We stayed in a self- catering lodge which was equipped with all that you would need to cook for yourself. We ate out at Anny’s Bistro, which was recommended by our host, Albert. The lodge was large and came with an open fireplace as well as a lovely deck with comfortable seating. A real find and great value.

A heritage property that has been lovingly decorated to a very high standard with excellent attention to detail. There is a beautiful deck attatched to the property which provides shady outdoor seating and lounging space along with a small pool for cooling off. Breakfast was great and we particularly enjoyed all the little extras provided during our stay such as a fully stocked honesty bar, sherry in the room, fresh water and chocholates at bed time and a free car washing service!! If you are looking for a luxury guest house experience in Oudtstroon then this is your place!

Very homely, welcoming lodge. Albert and Eliza were wonderful hosts. Thet were very helpful and charming. It was a pleasure to stay with them. There was great attention to detail and everything was done to ensure we had a wonderful time there. We only wished it could have been longer

We really loved our stay at this lodge from the minute we arrived to leaving. Hosts absolutely went the extra mile by having our car washed, providing us iced water and chocolates for the night. Also had free welcome drinks and snacks. Beautiful outdoor views, pool and seating area. Cottage was very well stocked with lots of attention to detail. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Good free internet.

Absolutely beautiful place to go. The lodge and the rooms are exceptional. The hosts, Elsa and Albert have a drinks reception at 6pm in the evening so you can meet the other guests. Got a great recommendation for a restaurant for dinner. Just disappointed I only booked for 1 night.
