The hotel is situated in a good position to walk into St Ives or beach within minutes. The view was amazing too. Room was comfortable, clean but in need of a revamp. The parking was a massive bonus for St Ives, unable to use lounge areas as had our little dog with us.

PG teabags? Ask for one more pound, and put a real tea into the room, suiting the charm of Cornwall.

The part of the hotel that we given was the old part which to be honest requires a complete refurbishment with a lift as we thought there was a lift but not on our side especially as we were on the 2nd floor and pensioners We were not told what time breakfast was or where to go for it also the shower in our room was intermittent so all in all not a great experience

TV and Shower didn't work, there is no air conditioning or Wifi available in the building. The hotel is pretty old and well overdue its imminent refit at the end of the season. Location is 10/10 right by st ives train station overlooking the bay. Quite noisy at night and the rooms get extremely hot even with windows open and fan blowing (we stayed end of June it wasnt even that hot outside!)

Fantastic location in the area and great parking facilities which is a real plus. Unfortunately our room - despite having a lovely sea view - had a strong overbearing smell, a very stained carpet and visible mould in the bathroom which was unpleasant.

Good location near train station and away from the hustle and bustle of the centre. Stunning views, more than made up for out dated decor. Lovely to lie in bed listening to the waves and have an early morning cuppa. Plenty of choice for breakfast and was able to drop my bag off at the hotel on way into town when I arrived and pick up for my train when I left.

I recently stayed at this hotel in St Ives and had a very disappointing experience. The room I was given did not match what was shown in the booking photos at all. It felt misleading and not worth the money. Cleanliness was a major issue — the room was not properly cleaned, which made the stay very uncomfortable. Basic services were also missing, and when I raised these concerns with the staff, there was little to no response or effort to resolve the situation. Overall, the lack of cleanliness, poor service, and mismatch between the advertised and actual room made this a very negative experience. I would not recommend this hotel to others and strongly suggest future guests be cautious before booking.

Lovely hotel with excellent staff. The property is a little dated and could benefit from some refurbishment, but overall we had a pleasant stay. The only issue we experienced was parking on arrival, as there were no spaces available and we had plans for the day. However, the staff were extremely helpful, took my keys, and arranged to move the car as soon as a space became free. Their professionalism and willingness to help really made a difference.

View was fantastic. Room was very basic. Towel rail wouldn’t work, shower screen inappropriate and parking was extremely limited.

The Staff were absolutely amazing so helpful the Breakfast was great the shower in the room was terrible no pressure would be better if you washed in the sink hotel is closing in September hope they will make things better when reopen terrible smell of damp on the stairs up to the room

Small double room with a perfect sea view. Our room was very clean and comfortable but could a done with a new window and a paint job. They is a bar and lounge area with a nice view, but we didn’t visit it. Parking behind the hotel but limited and you need to book it in advance. There is a lift up to the 2nd floor which is a blessing if you have lots of luggage. The staff are polite and welcoming. Ideal location to visit the town and beach a stones throw away! We didn’t have breakfast but it was £12 and you need to book before the night. Complimentary tea and coffee and milk and sugar and built in soap and body wash dispensers. Great value st £100 a night for a double with sea view. Could have done with more space by the wi how to admire the view in our room.

Some free car parking was available in the hotel garage but only for guests arriving early. My room had a lovely view over the beach. The shower was easy to use. There were clean ‘fluffy’ white towels. Comfortable bed. The standard of accommodation was good value

Beach view from my room partially obscured by trees due to an ongoing argument between the Council and GWR. Breakfast is plentiful and varied, I liked the grapefruit segments.

Stayed for two nights over the bank-holiday weekend. Our room was fairly small, but had a great sea view, and we were lucky enough to have a private balcony. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable. The shower was good, and we weren't disturbed by other guests. Breakfast included a good range of both hot and cold options, although on the hotel was very busy on the weekend we stayed and I think they were struggling to keep up. The dining room was spacious and had great views. We were lucky and managed to get a free parking space right outside the hotel. There is a car park just over the road if not, however it does get very busy. The hotel is within walking distance of the town centre and the beaches. I would happily stay here again.

Beach view absolutely beautiful, parking not as bad as people say, providing your car is not big, the hotel provide secure parking behind & there is a huge carpark down the steps to the front. Staff friendly on arrival, accommodated every need. Could do with a fresh lick of paint, but overall fabulous stay, will most likely be back, thank you.
