Can’t say enough about the staff at the hotel. Bruno went above and beyond for our family. We appreciated all of his recommendations and taking the time with our son! Such a family oriented hotel and would recommend to families!

The Martinhal Chiado property is located in a great spot to walk to trendy restaurants, shops, and other neighborhoods. Our apartment was spacious, clean, and well stocked. The staff are all so responsive and helpful. Our children loved the rock climbing wall and the on-property restaurant.

The staff is outstanding. Very friendly and helpful. Always a warm greeting when they see us. Excellent breakfast- Buffet plus a made to order omelet if desired and coffee or cappucino. A 5 star hotel.

Water came inside living room after rain and we got new apartment but overall it cause some chaos for us.

This is a great place to stay with kids. The staff are friendly and very attentive to family needs. Our kids felt very comfortable here as did we. They are also very good at arranging tours within the city and also for day trips out of Lisbon if you are interested in those. Overall great stay for our family.

The property was spotless and our room was amazing. The location was excellent for everything we wanted to see and do during our stay. Friendly staff and always so helpful. When we return we will be staying here.

The Martinhal is a fantastic boutique-style hotel in a great location, especially for families. From the moment we checked in, it was clear they truly think about traveling with kids — fresh milk waiting in the room, potty seats available, and even in-unit laundry if you need it (which, with kids, you probably will). The kids club on the first floor was such a standout. Our 4-year-old loved having a place to play and have fun, which made it easy for us to enjoy the city without feeling rushed or stressed. It struck the perfect balance of being family-friendly without feeling chaotic. They also had a small welcome gift for kids at check-in, which instantly made our son feel special and excited for the stay — a small touch that went a long way. We’d absolutely stay here again and would love to explore their other properties in the future. A really thoughtful, effortless family stay.

In Chiado on a side street just a short walk to the water and sights. For me perfectly located for a self guided walking tour from the castle to green street!. But for those out of shape , with disability or with a stroller its a hike up the hill. The hotel is charming and the rooms very clean and well-appointed with a very nice kitchen setup plus a washer. Enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to stay again!
