Host was patient and detailed in showing us the house when check in. Rubbish and towels are changed daily. Location is good with Family Mart just behind property and supermarkets within walking distance

Owner was responsive even before we showed up. Told us how to get there. Very flexible with check-in time. Waited for us at the property. Check-in was easy and informal. The place was better than the internet pictures. It's basically a fully functional home. Two stories, 2 BR, 1.5 BA, open kitchen with living room. Next door to a family mart (currently renovating, but a 7/11 is 2 min away) 1 min walk to Nijojo-mae subway station. 2 min from a local shopping strip(3 brothers bakery opens early and is great, a place called Brulee (10a-7p) sells cream brûlée donuts is a must try.). 3 min to Nijo castle. 101 bus (designed for foreigners) runs by a bus stop 1 min outside the house (the stop on the house side of the street will get you to Kinkakuji, the stop across the street will take you downtown or to Kyoto station). Owner was super nice. The days we visited were cold, so he had nice comforters out and added electric blankets under the bedsheets. He knew we had 4 people staying, so he set up to extra beds (air mattresses) in the tatami room. Took us to Nishiki market the 1st night and Kiyomizu-dera the next morning. He let us keep our luggage until 3p and waited for us to return and offered to order taxi for us to go to Kyoto station). He was a great source of info too. We lived there as if we were guests at a friend's nice house. We made our bed and cleaned after ourselves. It was minimal effort and the stay was absolutely wonderful. Will definitely stay there again.

Huset är något äldre, en del uteljud kan komma in. Det var rent både i övre och nedre våni gen. Utrustningen fungerade nra. 3 AC (i köket/vardagsrummet och i 2 sovrummen. Nära Nishikimarket. Gångavstån/korta taxiresor överallt.
