Staff are amazing

Property overbooked and refused check-in due to no vacancy. Still waiting on expedia to resolve.

The hotel confirmed my reservation, but then when I got there, there were no rooms available. It was a mess.

Charming, small scale hotel in a historical style, waterfront, within walking distance of the historic town and Getsemani. Nice terraces (3), including one with a jacuzzi. Excellent, welcoming and capable staff. Well appointed rooms, very clean. Great breakfast on a communal table, to share with other travelers. I was made to feel at home during my stay (June 18-25) and as a solo female traveler, I felt very safe and well taken care off. The only down sides are the club next door and the amount of traffic (especially the party buses and party boats in the evening), but a pair of ear plugs takes care of that.

I had a wonderful stay. As a solo traveler the staff made sure all needs and services were met and they were very friendly. The food was amazing too. Had a nice view from the lounging areas in the place. I liked that the location was very local to common areas and felt safe as well. Only downside there were a lot of bugs (bug spray solved the problem) that came from the bathroom window and I didn’t have hot water in the shower for the first 2 days

Quaint hotel - no elevator. Steep stairs. But beautifully decorated.

The breakfast here is amazing! And the customer service was wonderful throughout the entire trip. Please note, the hotel shares a wall with a popular nightclub and is on the main route for the party buses. It was a little loud but nothing we couldn't sleep through. Also nothing, this has the perfect location in the city - less than 10 min walk to the walled city and where the tours depart. It is directly across the street from the water. We only used a taxi once (aside from airport transfer) which was to get to Bocagrande. Otherwise, you simply cannot ask for a better location!!!

The staff are extremely friendly and patient enough to use translators while engaging in conversations since I don’t know Spanish.

I only stayed one night but it’s enough for me to come back. Everyone is very attentive, big attention on details. Its hands down the best ‘homey’ breakfast of any of the 7 hotels I’ve stayed in Cartagena.

I enjoyed my stay here very well. It is a super place to stay when visiting Cartagena.

Great location, within easy walking to the conference center and the old city. Looking over Cartagena bay with sailboats passing by. Very clean, extremely friendly staff, catering to special requests for breakfast. Beautiful terrace off the upstairs hall with views of the bay.

I like the property and the stuff but don't like the location. The property is near a loud nightclub. The nightclub opens until 3 am in morning.

This place felt like home, the staff was wonderful and very helpful, Candelaria made sure our room was always clean and our breakfast was ready every morning. William was very attentive too. If I come back to Cartagena I would stay here again.

Outdated, not clean, terrible noise from the street club, noisy air conditioning, non guest friendly. Booked for 4 night - left after 2 and was not granted a refund. Do not recommend!

La limpieza Eccelente y Lo Mejor de Todo Que hacen Que Tesientas como en tu propia casa Y En Familia Enverdad una experiencia Única. En hotel : El Dorado plaza calle del Arsenal # 10-57 las personas son Muy Amables y Muy Respetuosas y muy cariñosas verdaderamente. Un servicio 5 estrellas. Definitivamente Regresaré ha Hospedarme en ese Hotel claro que si !

I had the best experience on my 7 days in Cartagena at this Hotel. I felt like I was a home visiting family members. They took care of my like I was was special. They listen and had a great conversation and were so friendly at all times. The cleaning staff lady was loving and caring like a Mother cooking breakfast for us every morning. So special her name is Candelaria, what a beautiful loving soul. She remains in my heart. The administration gentleman was so kind and nice. I am so happy I met them . I will return for sure this Hotel.

My hotel room had a lot of street noise, even before the night club next door opens and plays music till 1:00 am. I wasn’t shown the property and found out 3 days later about the rooftop jacuzzi with an amazing view. Is nice because is near everything, beautiful bay view, but the windows are tiny! The rooms are old, tv only works with basic cable, ac constantly stops working. It was an ok one time experience, but definitely not one to come back to.
