Always generally good. Dirty ashtray outside my room wasn't what I expect from the RH. Sets the tone.

We (my son and I) booked a twin bedded room but it was a double. The assistant manager gave us a second room for the first night and sorted out the twin for our second plus offered me a complimentary drink. It was an error on their part but we were impressed with how well they handled the situation.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Lovely to find a place that just gets it right! We were made to feel very welcome by Summer and her team. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Our room was well presented and looked lovely and enjoyable range of drinks and snacks available. Quality of the bed was terrible!! We did tell the manager of this issue as we're returning next week. Felt like due to the fact that we had booked via Expedia, and although I booked an upgrade room, that we didn't get the best quality of room and bed.

Everything. Love the Running Horse. Cosy rooms, well equipped rooms, quiet, comfy, boutiquey, great pub, great food and great staff. Second stay and hoping to stay again (work). Hopefully some summer evenings, bike rides. Keep it up Running Horse 🐎🐎🐎

Lovely room, comfy bed and nice and warm when it was -2 outside! However breakfast room was very chilly and the choice on the continental section was very limited.

The staff were very helpful, especially when they ordered me a taxi. The room had more than enough electrical plugs. A great shower and coffee facilities. The choice at breakfast was very good

Accommodation good. Staff friendly and helpful. Food and menu disappointing. Breakfast overcooked both days.

Running Horse is very quaint and cozy. The dini g options are very nice and the service natural and friendly. My husband and my inlaws stayed for only one night and were very happy with the accommodations. The countryside is beautiful.

To be honest, I did like the place, but I can’t put my finger on why when we arrived to check-in was easy we ordered some food we both had steaks. I asked for mine to be rare it was well done by the time I got my steak it was perfect but my wife had by then finished.. breakfast was okay but I asked for my eggs to be soft specifically I had to send them back by the time I got my breakfast my wife had finished. I found the food not very good and expensive. We both had prawn cocktails, £8.50 there were five prawns.. in the room there was a combination shower but the tap missing off of one of the appliances so you couldn’t use it. I did like the room the furniture and how it was laid out ..but the roomwas very warm but they-provide a lovely fan. The location was wonderful and very convenient for Winchester. I did like the place and I probably would go back and all these comments really are for the Hotel to try and help none of it bothered me that much but I know it would a lot of people. Just my honest opinion.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are really nicely made up from previous stables (they have removed the horses). All the facilities in the room were good and appropriate.
