Room and bathroom were very spacious, staff were very accommodating, and 5-7 min walk to beach so fabulous location. Only reason why score is lower is party was going on one of nights and feel they could’ve let us know that music was going to be blaring no matter where you were in the hotel! Also, service outside of breakfast is very slow and forgot to put our lunch order thru so waited over an hour - although they did comp it which was decent of them.

The air conditioning unit in our room stopped working staff were quick to move us to another room, my only complaint is there were no chairs in the room to sit in and sitting on the bed was uncomfortable

Shower head was coming out of the wall. Nothing exciting but decent basic accommodations.

We had a wonderful stay at El Faro. The location was perfect for our family. The beach and Manuel Antonio National Park are very close. The view from our balcony was amazing. We knew about climbing the hill beforehand and really didn’t think it was that bad (our ages were 58, 49, 48, 46, 15, 14, 12, and 11). The hotel staff helped bring up and down our luggage, so that wasn’t an issue, and a golf cart ride was easily available, whenever needed. We also really enjoyed our breakfasts each morning, and the hotel staff were very accommodating with booking tours and answering any questions we had during our stay. Beware of the capuchin monkeys. There is a reason they are called La Mafia. They are cool to watch… from a distance. I’d definitely stay here again.

When we arrived in the pouring rain, we could not check in because the front desk clerk was away despite open hours.

We have stayed here a few times with our dog and it is a convenient halfway point between Hermosa and Pavones. Very secure and safe, great restaurant onsite, and big, clean rooms with everything you need for a short or extended stay.

Loved this place so much we booked to stay longer. Fantastic location just 5 mins walk from the national park beach which is stunning. The grounds of the hotel are lovely with two pools to cool down in after a hot day in the beach. Staff are exceptionally helpful snd kind. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel and a Mexican restaurant just along the road. We had the superior double room with a large kitchen and terrace so nice that we went to Maxi Palí supermarket at the end of the road and bought food to cook in the lovely kitchen. Now sitting in a hotel further up the coast and wishing we hadn’t left paradise

Great place, nice pools and breakfast was wonderful. Started early enough for us to eat before heading out on our adventures. We will be back.

The hotel is right next to the beach, walking distance and great location. Across the street is a great restaurant! The staff is so friendly. Breakfast there starts at 6:30am and is made to order. The beds are comfortable and you have a fridge and freezer and can control your own AC temperature. They give you two towels each which is very nice. They have a pool and showers. There is a cute orange and white hotel cat. I wish they had a lamp and towel hangers in the room.
