Massive roadworks right outside the hotel, not informed before arriving at all. When queried owner was very rude and refused to accept this was an issue. So loud we refused to check in or stay!

Very nice quiet hotel in great location. Extremely clean and comfortable. Great shower pressure. Good breakfast. Very friendly staff. Free parking just across the road.

It was unacceptable. Massive construction right outside the door. Started at 7 am. Couldn’t park near hotel even to unload. Room up 2 staircases, narrow twisting stairs. One of us 81 years old! We had to leave. I will be contacting Expedia for compensation. Totally unacceptable!

We were in Saumur for 2 nights. It’s a pretty city.

Great budget stay for 2 nights. Staff was excellent, breakfast was a good value and good. What we did not like was steep stairs, no elevator or refrigerator. Room and bathroom adequate size. I would stay again in season, but room did not have A/C and was warm one night.

A small, refurbished boutique hotel by the Loire and minutes from the town centre. Nice staff. Breakfast is typical for a small place. I enjoyed my stay. Just note the restricted opening times for reception - important if your arrival falls outside the time frame

Very traditional older hotel in a good location. Small room which was very warm with not much floor space at all didn’t make for great comfort or much sleep. Owner very friendly and good breakfast

Great location, right on the river, and plenty of parking available, and within easy walking distance of the town centre. The owner and staff were polite and helpful.

Good straight forward hotel near to the town centre and with good views

Booked two nights at this appart hotel. We booked for three people however when we got there the accommodation was only for two people. The third person had to sleep on a “Canapé” which was totally inadequate for sleeping. You normally expect at least a sofa bed. The hotel also provided us with only one pod for the coffee machine making you ask why do they bother at all. I would go somewhere else next time.

My boyfriend and I stayed just for one night but it was really nice, to start the staff was very friendly. The room was just perfect for one night, small but clean and cozy. I totally recommend it.

Wonderful welcome. The member of staff was brilliant- respectful of me trying to use French. Room was spacious with lovely river views. Small balcony. Fan provided welcome relief from the heat. Bathroom perfectly good. The star of the show was the wonderful meal. A limited choice on a set menu but each course was cooked to perfection. Staff (same one) continued to be helpful and friendly. Location was also good. Short walk past the church to bars/restaurants/shops - however would definitely recommend eating at the hotel.

I had a super room overlooking the river. The hotel is a short walk from shops and restaurants. The staff were very helpful and very pleasant.

Good location overlooking the Loire. We had room with a lovely view. Small but ok for 2 people. Bathroom fine Nice people on check in desk. Easy parking opposite.

The location was perfect along side the river and overlooking the chateau. The dogs had lovely walks, by the river. Our room was extremely comfortable, the breakfast was very good and the decor most attractive.
