Annual trip to Penrith for business and where possible we always stay here, excellent service and ever friendly staff

Excellent hotel and apartments, We stayed in the apartments on the hotel grounds this were to a very high standard with everything you needed. My daughter and myself enjoyed our stay in one of the 2 bedroom one's each room offering a super king size bed and ensuite, TV's in each room, comfortable lounge area and well equipped kitchen, the hotel bar and restaurant is only a short walk across the car park with a great choice of lunch and evening meals available. The staff are super friendly and helpful

Lovely hotel gardens really pretty place. Great room good bed, stayed 1 night. We had dinner in the restaurant the Thursday menu, delicious. Special thanks to Claire who served us breakfast lovely person very accommodating. Great stay will go back.

An amazing hidden gem! A warm and friendly welcome. Everyone helpful and attentive. The hotel is very comfortable and the attention to detail is superb. Food was delicious. There was a creative twist on some dishes to tempt the taste buds. In short a truly wonderful experience.

The room was spotlesslesly clean, several features broken or not working & the food was really lacking. Serious shakeup required in the kitchen

The property was amazing, the grounds were pretty and scenic and the room was beautiful! We stayed in the apartment and enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful too.

Everything was perfect about the hotel, the major issue for us were the groups in the next room, we could hear everything till about midnight, it was so bad we had to Knock at their door And ask them to be quiet, same Again in the morning, they were awake super early like 5ish, so little sleep had by Us

Nice old fasioned service ...... relaxing and very good food

Excellent service, polite and friendly. Good parking facilities and room was clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast very good. The downside and the only reason we couldn’t give 5 stars for overall stay was that we were kept awake until after 2am by the people in the next room who had the tv on loud all evening and it sounded like it was mounted on the wall behind our bed and we could hear every word. Whether it was due to thin walls or just selfishness by the occupants, it spoilt our stay as we had very little sleep. Not sure if the tv could be repositioned or whether some sound insulation is possible. Shame as it could have been an enjoyable stay

Lovely quiet country Manor House, comfortable and clean rooms with and excellent pint of Wainwrights Gold at the bar. Recommended.

We stayed here for just one night on our way to Scotland, a lovely evening meal, a very comfortable nights sleep and a lovely breakfast cooked to order, definitely recommend this beautiful hotel in gorgeous surroundings.
