Right from the beginning this was very unprofessional and seemed Shady the gentleman whom which we rented the room from had me meet him in his apartment gave me the wrong set of keys did not give me directions to the hotel and said that we weren't supposed to tell the front desk we were staying there charged extra for early check-in and parking then I booked a two-bedroom and only got a one bedroom I am very dissatisfied and upset with my entire stay

If I had the option, I would mark this hotel a 0/5.From arrival to departure, it was by far the worst guest stay I have experienced. Once you have booked the apartment, they then send you a text message that is as long as your arm, telling you all the things you can and can't do!They ask you not to tell anyone you're a guest but a Business Guest. You have to meet someone outside to collect the key to get access into the Garage (which they charge you a further $30 for). Check in time is 5pm.If you want to check in at 3pm, its an additional $30!The apartment itself is very dark and claustrophobic and made even worse when we found out that the air conditioning didn't work! The temperature in our room for the duration of the stay was 79 degrees!I called to make a complaint and no one came back to me.I have called a further 3 times with some luck last week but I was told no refunds/compensations are offered, it's in their T&C's.I don't know how you can be charged to sleep in an apartment that it is not legally safe. The gentleman dealing my complaint took no accountability, was reluctant to even apologize and refused to give me a refund.I stay in hotels for a living and thought I'd give Tripbz the chance to make this right.I will do my utmost best to spread the word that this is a terrible place to stay.To finish things off, you have to vacate the property, collect your car and move it onto the red lined roads outside the complex and then go back into the apartment to leave the keys

I would not suggest this place too anyone, it was all too sketchy for my wife and I, we requested to check in at 1, by the time the guy got back to me it was 6 pm and I had to meet him down the street to get the key. I then checked in and had to call him since the a/c was not working and it was 82 degrees in the room, very uncomfortable. This is not a hotel, the whole process was odd and I would not recommend this place too anyone. You definitely can find nicer places for less and you won't feel like you are doing something wrong.

The suite is very clean and the owner is a nice person. One thing need to be noticed is that you can find many cheaper parkings very close from the apartment instead of parking inside the building for $30 per night.

From my home in Australia I booked accommodation at Tripbz Olive Suites about a month before visiting Los Angeles with my son and 10-year-old grandson. I received paperwork from Hotels.com guaranteeing our accommodation. I carried out all the instructions on the paperwork, including phoning Tripbz Olive Suites on the day of our arrival to find out how I could pick up our room key. I was told that if our arrival was before 5.00 pm the key would be delivered to us; after 5.00 pm it would be available at the front desk. When we arrived at 10.00 pm I showed our paperwork to the front desk and asked for our room key. We were told that we had come to the correct place, but instead of receiving our key we were told that the paperwork guaranteeing our booking was of no consequence--'someone should have brought the key down'. I phoned Tripbz Olive Suites and was again told that the key was at the front desk. When I explained that the key was not at the front desk, the person at Tripbz Olive Suites terminated the call. The person at the front desk who had told me we were at the correct place then said 'if you don't leave, there is someone else here who isn't as friendly as I am'. After that threat, we left immediately, not knowing where we would stay the night. This was at 10.30 pm in Los Angeles, a large and (to us) foreign city none of had stayed in before. Tripbz Olive Suites did not return phone or email messages from me asking what had happened to our booking.

Checking in required several phone & texts in order to "meet a man" in a Whole Foods parking garage & be walked through the do's and dont's - & get " swiped" for a $30 parking fee. ( per night). Prior to this dicey check in was a series of odd - rude texts giving instructions such as : "DTLA MTA Apple slide on arrival.." when I asked what the abbreviations meant... they told me to try google. It was the least customer care we have ever received from any hostel suite business stay /house rental in our lives, & Iv been a professional traveling musician for over 25 yrs. Please ask for the text conversation- that was insanely smug, rude & condescending. I have kept. We did not even go into our room after the vicarious "check in", we went straight to work in Pasadena, & came back at 12:30 that night. With a band of 5, we were told this location slept up to 7- so we assumed there would be plenty of room. On arrival, there were two full size beds in rooms ( meant for 4 people) & a couch ( not a fold out sleeper) in the living room. Apparently there is a blow up mattress in the closet if a party of 6-7. Not cool. The suite had 2 glasses in the cabinet, 4 coffee mugs, 4 plates. ( again, party of 7? how could this ever work?) The two bathrooms gave 4 very washed & used brown bath towels. ( for all 5 of us to use!) The freezer, no ice, the kitchen- not even salt & pepper. Minimalist LA style is cool- but this pushed on non functional. It was very clean. Check out hard too

This is an interesting experience, due to the hotel is more of air b' n b type of rental. You are requested to not interact with the staff, and the checking in and out process is not traditional. And to be honest a bit awkward... I did enjoy the location, and the space. The amenities we're great as well as the location. I was in town for business so it fit when I needed to do perfectly and gave me more space than a typical hotel. I would recommend to individuals staying an extended period of a time in DTLA. There is a whole foods downstairs which made getting food very convenient, and it was accessible to lyft's and taxi's with ease.

Very clean and the apartment was comfortable, tastefully decorated. I enjoyed the ability to cook my own meals. I was very disappointed in the 2 to 4am traffic that was very loud. People over me had heavy feet and those walking in my hallway had no consideration for those of us sleeping.

Convenient location. Parking across the street is cheaper ($20/night). Good to have washing machine and dryer. Bathroom tap was broken. The room floor was not clean enough. It provided only one set of key, so my wife and I couldn't go out separately, which was the biggest setback.

The location was great and the place was new and clean. I only have 2 real issues. One, the sofa bed (futon) is not really sleep able unless you are a young kid and sleep on half of it when it's unfolded. It's too small with a bar sticking up in the middle for an adult and the cushions are like rocks also. And secondly, they do not make clear that you need the key with you for everything. I sent my gf up to the room with key while I parked and found myself trapped 2 floors deep in the garage because I needed the key to operate the elevator and no stairs to be found. On checkout, because I had to leave the key in the room, I was unable to go back down to the garage where my car was parked again because of the elevator issue. Since tripbz is separate from the front desk operations there, it was difficult to explain my problem to people there to get back to my car.

It should be easier & quicker to check in & out & store bags. Also walking garbage all the way down the long hall was a time waster.

The reason I booked this place was because of location. There were other similar price points available in the area but I like the location. Immediately after booking I received an email and text from the owner. I was a bit confused because it was instructions on how to enter the unit. I questioned the person texted me and they said that it was a rental property as opposed to a hotel. Unfortunately it was too late to cancel because I prepaid. They gave me instructions on how to pick up the keys and when I explained my flight got in extremely late they directed me to a building four blocks away to pick up the keys. My flight came in at 11:30 p.m. and I was not happy about picking up keys in downtown LA 4 blocks away. Upon arrival at the building it was very unclear where I needed to enter as the address provided did not match the building. I entered an ask the doorman if it was the correct building and he has no clue. After five 10 minutes we figured it out I went upstairs and entered our unit. The unit was like a studio apartment. Although it had a full kitchen there wasn't even one bottle of water. The bathroom have one roll of toilet paper. No hangers for my clothes What really turn me off was the list of instructions that was texted to me prior to entry. It demanded that we leave the apartment clean; wash all the dishes take the garbage out. They requested that I not tell anybody at the front desk who we really are or else they won't give us the keys. Horrible!

This property is an apartment/condo complex contracted out by an extended stay company catering to business travelers. You meet the designated representative at an off-site location to pick up keys, parking passes etc. Please note you pay for this $30 parking pass on the street via their square app and you are instructed NOT to bother the staff at the complex with any issues. This is where my interaction ended as any problems arising would necessitate calling this representative and him having to drive to the property. The property is enormous and the provided map is vital to your sanity. Every time you go up, down or out, you need the key fob (only one is provided). It's a fairly new property so the decor, amenities and units are quite nice. Due to the enclosed layout, the unit does not feel as big as the square footage would indicate. All in all, it was an OK experience, I don't think I would've booked knowing all the particulars ahead of time.

It was a nice stay especially for those planning to visit long. I stayed here for 6 nights. There was a slight problem in room reservation but they solved it right away. But if you are too bothered to wait for someone to check-in more than 10 min outside the building, I wouldn't recommend it. Besides that, I loved the stay here.

Hassle securing the keys and access. Meeting and waiting outside grocery store at table and chairs on a cold drizzly evening to get keys from an "associate" was less than ideal.
