In room onset with a view over looking the ocean!! This hotel was a highlight of our trip to Japan. We had the in room dinning experience which was beyond expectations. Food quality and presentation were excellent. Accommodations and amenities exceeded expectation's.

The experience here was truly something else! Never stayed in a place like this. Our room was basic (traditional Japanese) and our meal was delicious served in the room. The amenities were excellent including baths and a lounge that included snacks and drinks upstairs. The location was incredibly close to everything on Miyajima and it felt special to be here once all of the tourists had left for the day.

High quality modern ryokan, excellent cuisine

What a treat! We stayed in a room with a view of the water and private onsen. It was so nice we don’t want to explore the island…and a great way to relax after a hike to the summit. Would absolutely recommend!

Over all it’s a great experience. Facilities are very clean well preserved and maintained. Staff is very friendly and if you add the Kaiseki dinner (recommended) it can be served in your room. They have and all you can drink and eat of ice cream terrace where you can see the famous Tori gate in the water and the shrine is a few meters away. I got the ocean view room and it was incredible. Has a wooden shower room which is nice. It’s costly but I suggest you live the experience (specially the sunset at the terrace enjoying a few drinks). The only reason I wouldn’t stay again is because there is certain modernity in the room and I prefer a more classic, old ryokan experience with the same luxury and comfort but a more classic style. Oh and if you have tattoos this ryokan doesn’t let you use the public onsen areas but they can program you 45 min in a private onsen which is nice.

A really wonderful place to stay. Our family of four booked a traditional Japanese room and thought it was perfect - plenty of space, a comfortable couch, a bathroom well appointed and arranged. We loved the onsen and chance to book a smaller private onsen as well. The lounge upstairs with deck area was great to relax afterwards. We were sorry to leave!

Amazing traditional Japanese experience

Huge room with massage chair, amenities were fantastic and really enjoyed the hot spring and private bath. Location is very convenient, right next to the shopping street and less than 5 mins walk from the pier.

Everything about this property and the staff was fabulous. We had traditional breakfast and supper that were prepared and served flawlessly. Every dish and bite was flavorful and varied. There was an incredible variety of flavors, colors and textures. We had supper served in our room and it was a beautiful personal touch, with the servers explaining every dish and we were able to enjoy it as a relaxed, easy pace. We will absolutely be staying here again next time we come to Japan.

Amazing place! I highly recommend. Staff is top notch, room was spotless and had every amenity you could want. If you're looking at booking, don't think about it just do it. You'll be glad you did.

Great room, amazing Japanese Ryokan. The room included dinner—a typical Japanese meal that was fabulous—and breakfast, walking distance to the floating Tori gate, and a fantastic rooftop viewing area with free drinks.

The room was in good condition, and the onsen functioned very well. The staff, however, for the first time since our 21 day trip began, were completely without English basic proficiency. So, even the most minor request took too long and was overly formalized (“please have a seat over there, while I work on your request” was sometimes ridiculous and time consuming. Secondly, it’s concierge to help us with restaurant reservations was inefficient and, again because or very poor English language skills, challenging. At least one manager and one desk person needs to speak Basic fluid English. You charge $900+ per night. Find properly skilled professionals.

Staff was very nice but not very accommodating. Food was just okay. I’ve stayed in multiple ryokan before, and this was the least impressive. Clean and comfortable beds.

Spacious, comfortable and very clean room. Amazing view from our window while sitting in our private hot tub, Great amenities such as the rooftop self serve bar. Excellent dinner and breakfast.

Room was pretty small compared to the pictures of the website we thought there was a different room for the bedding it was not clear

Fantastic location in the heart of Miyajima village. Just know that it's a bit of a walk from the ferry terminal, and part of the path is gravel, so might be a bit rough if you have rolling luggage. On check-out, they offered to drive us to the terminal, which was very welcomed. The hotel was fantastic.
