Only stayed one night however the staff were very friendly and efficient and the room very comfortable, excellent size bed. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open on a Sunday, others available near by, but will not stop us from staying again.

An excellent welcome, comfortable rooms and a great restaurant, just what we needed.

Have stayed many times but first visit since pool installation and hotel extension. The dining facilities are very good indeed with excellent waiting staff who really know their worth. Dog friendly too with good walking for dog in the grounds. All in all a must visit destination.

Love this place....Perfect

Very pleased overnight stay on the way south. Easy access from A20 with plenty of parking. We didn’t bring the electric car this time but would have been well served with the exceptional number of charging points. Large garden was appreciated by our golden retriever and we enjoyed the large, well-equipped room. Excellent dinner but breakfast not at the same high level.

A lovely, clean hotel with spacious rooms, a huge comfortable bed and a fantastic restaurant. For a Tesla driver going from England to southern France, it’s perfect for a high quality, restful stop with Tesla superchargers on-site.

Excellent. The room was fabulous, spacious and clean. Shower very refreshing with lovely soft towels. All the staff were professional and friendly. The bar terrace was perfect on a warm afternoon and the meal in the restaurant was delicious. Already booked again for our return journey.

Would highly recommend but please note that the restaurant is not open on Sundays and there is hardly any food available nearby on that day. Luckily we found a pizza van - Nick’s near Chateauroux- delicious but long wait. Despite that I’d stay again without doubt.

This is the second time we have stayed at Relais St Jaques. Lovely modern hotel with friendly helpful staff, good facilities, such a comfy bed with air con. Much needed with temps of 33C. We wi stay again.

Reception staff were welcoming and efficient. Bar area was a bit chilly but restaurant was warm. Food excellent as always. We didn't like the fact that the waiter had us sign the bill whilst we were eating our dessert. He said it was to avoid customers leaving the restaurant before checking the bill was correct but this is unacceptable behaviour. I complained to the waiter and the reception staff. The latter apologised and reduced our bar bill as compensation.

An excellent stop-over on a return trip from UK with the added advantage of a first class restaurant. One small negative- we took breakfast at 9 o’clock and the choice was limited as most had gone to earlier risers.

Booked at last minute. Don’t be put off by the location just off dual carriageway and in what looks like an industrial park. The hotel was quiet and food wad excellent !

Stopped for one night on drive south and found it an excellent choice. Extremely friendly,very clean and excellent facilities and just off the main road.

This is the perfect stop over for a long drive to Calais from the south of France. We have used it a couple of times and I can highly recommend it. Quiet, easy to find and really friendly. This time as we arrived a local historic car club had just arrived for a meal. Says it all really, if they use it as a restaurant that has to be a positive. Also, they take dogs. The only very small point to notice is that there are no USB charging points for your phone in the rooms so remember to take a plug. Other than that, the perfect stop over just off the motorway if that is what you need.

Perfect stay

In these COVID days, the hotel has arranged things well. Rooms and public areas spotless. Where necessary tables separated by clear screen. Dinner was excellent. Good wine list. Nespresso coffee maker and kettle in room. Room described as Garden view but that rather overstates reality. Near motorway and airport but very quiet.

It has changed immensely since our last visit 28 years ago. It's making the changes that will giv a quality experience.
