Lovely comfortable stays

Nice room with everything in and nice not to have to worry about taking shower gels as all provided but disturbed by noise as walls thin as was on top floor. Reported maintenance needed as toilet flusher broken and shower door not on runners. Tea and coffee provided is a good brand and plenty to choose from with variety given Food to a high standard and large portions Staff lovely and couldn’t do enough to help and assist. Clearly work very hard to make everyone’s stay enjoyable Will return but would ask for a room on lower floors

Lovely friendly staff, garden room was lovely and clean and well equipped….only problem we had was the heating was set at 35 degrees upon arrival and it took a while to cool it down with windows and doors open. Would stay here again without a doubt

When informed of my experience the staff moved me to a garden room, which whilst detached, still had average cleanliness - sit in the bath and view the dust and broken tiles, lipstick on walls near plug sockets. My original room (30) had broken thermostatic valves on the radiator, so fixed in the hot position, so wi dows open was a must. Cigarette ash and burns noticed on window cill, and the icing on the cake - a 'gift' in the toilet. Breakfast; microwaved scrambled eggs on 1 slice of toast day 1. Day 2 - i heard guests commenting how cold the bacon, sausage and mushrooms were, even the fired egg, so did without. Get the basics right and the rest sorts itself out.

Staff were lovely, breakfast was very good quality, but the room wasn't very clean and could do with some tlc, (mirrors dirty, something sprayed down the wall, carpet coming away at the door, thick dust on woodwork, curtains had stains on them) Very loud with a party downstairs so we didn't get to sleep until after 11.30.

I absolutely love staying here when I’m working in the area. Excellent staff, great dining menu & extremely comfortable room. Very easy to get to & a quick drive into Durham or up into Newcastle. Perfect

This was our 3rd.stay at Bowburn Hall Hotel this year. Everything about it is excellent and the staff are friendly and very helpful.

We had a very enjoyable stay in one of the Lodges. Every thing was excellent and we will probably stay there again.

Graduation stay

Had the feel of a country inn. Room was very unique & decorated like an old English inn room. It was clean & comfortable. The staff, check in, bar & restaurant, was great! Had dinner & breakfast in the restaurant & food was very good!

Stayed in the bridal suite which was amazing and very clean and comfortable
