My partner and I recently attended a brief yet thoroughly enjoyable getaway at The Laurel’s to celebrate his birthday and escape the bustling Sydney life. We were captivated by the charming and brooding interior of the house, as we nestled in for the evening among crisp greenery as far as the eye could see. The intricate details, artworks and trinkets peppered around the halls and common areas were no less interesting than their thoughtful owners, our hosts for the stay. David and Lindy welcomed us into their space with warmth and attentiveness. A comfortable and quiet night in The Carrington Room, despite a few possible paranormal experiences (unsurprising given its age and vibrant history as a family run dairy farm). The local eatery suggestions from Lindy were much appreciated as were the additional touches such as the complementary bubbly in our room and a lovely cheese and wine spread for all guests. Our morning breakfast was deliciously prepared, as the dining room quickly filled with coffee and conversation. Lindy introduced all in attendance, personally contributing to the chatting and evoking bellowing laughter, all while preparing her impeccable catering. A heartwarming and comfortable experience all round, we were so pleased with this hidden delight and will be back for future stays at The Laurels. Thank you! - Ashlee & Ricky
