A large pretty nice hotel with spacious rooms and hot springs attached.
The rooms are good and I love that they kept some of the things of olde in the room. Like the old radio/alarm clock thing (?). It's now adapted for light controls and it adds a nice retro style.
Each room has a toilet and bath if you don't feel like going to the public baths. However I strongly recommend you do as the hot spring water is fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The rotenburo ( outside bath) is a volcanic and normal water mix. There is one small inside bathe that is all volcanic water and lost of inside baths with jets etc that are just plain water.
The hot spring / volcanic water is great! It'll leave your skin feeling smooth and wonderful. I visited the bath many times!
The staff were very friendly and speak a variety of languages.
Dinner and breakfast is a buffet affair and pretty good. They have a great selection of food and a couple of stations where cooks will make things fresh. Thinga such as omelettes, rice balls, agepan and other surprises.
Breakfast has a great mix of western and Japanese food. Toast, cereal, fruit, rice, fish, natto etc etc.
Overall I had a great stay.
