The Riad Dar Soufa is amazing. The manager, Fatwa, was an incredible host, from messaging us before our stay with helpful details, like transportation instructions and where to park our rental car, to greeting us when we arrived, providing dining recommendations (with a local map!), and serving an abundantly delicious breakfast on the roof terrace during our one-night stay. Feasting on a large selection of fresh fruit, yogurt, local honey and nuts, tasty local pastries, made to order eggs, fresh juices, and coffee, my husband and I thought it was the best breakfast we had in the five different riads and hotels that we stayed in during our trip across Morocco. The riad is centrally located in the old medina near a wide cobblestone street but very tranquil when you’re inside. It’s within easy walking distance of the Oudayas and a healthy 20-minute walk to the Tower. Our junior suite on the roof terrace level was beautifully decorated with a clean and sophisticated Moroccan design. The room was very comfortable and quiet for sleeping. We hardly knew other guests were staying in the riad until the next morning when everyone meandered through for breakfast. Overall, our stay was amazing, and we would definitely return if we ever find ourselves in Rabat again.
