The apartment has an untreated humidity problem leading to a strong smell of mould. There are spiders and spider webs everywhere. We asked the landlord to send someone to remove the webs, they never did.

We loved this place from top to bottom - yes there are stairs but we are fit! This was stunning - right on the Ribeira at the bridge with a view of the bridge from our enormous comfy bed! How amazing! So centrally located. The restaurant downstairs had great tapas and we enjoyed the apartment immensely! I would recommend it highly to everyone! Thank you so much!

Property was clean and as described. Located in the heart of Porto. Only concern was parking is scarce and street noise might bother some if sleeping in front bedrooms.

The hosts were amazing! So helpful in helping us find parking (there is a little street right in front of the apartment where you can park overnight for free--as long as you get a spot). It's a perfect location within the city. The only downside is the smell; it was quite musty. But you can't beat the views, location and service! Would stay here again!

The unit looked great when you first walked in, but you realize quickly that the apartment required 6 plug in scent devices to mask the odours caused by damp environment and sewer smell from bathroom. Also lighting was was very inadequate in kitchen and bathroom. Dining room chairs were too low to sit at a pool table converted to a dining room table. As I first said when you first walk in it looks great, just not practical to live in.

The location of the apartment was A+. The apartment was very clean and well taken care off. My complain is that I had the bottom apartment and there was no windows to open. I felt like I was in a cave and did not sleep well. I bet the other apartments had great views. If not for that it would have been perfect.

The apartment is on riverfront right in the middle of all attractions. No attendants for checking and definitely need a cell phone to call someone. We got there very early and called the manager. He showed up in 5 minutes and let us in to leave our luggage till apt was cleaned and ready to go. Very friendly manager and had several helpful hints. Close to metro station

Beautiful accommodation and very comfortable bed

The flats are in the most beautiful area just positioned in front of the river and beside the famous bridge. We chose the stone apartment which is very authentic and has been renovated to the highest standard. There is only natural light in the main bedroom and a very small window in the hall. This was supplemented by lots of spot lights which certainly brightened it up. Our TV was broken for 3 days and was promised each day that it would be fixed which unfortunately was never the case. The lady who cares for the apartments was quite rude and everything seemed to be too much of an effort for her even the replacing of towels as we had nowhere to dry them in the apartment and they were damp. There is also only 1 shower for an apartment that sleeps up to 6 people. Negative side apart it’s a beautiful apartment in the most privileged of areas. Beautiful restaurants within very easy walking distance but the most amazing bar/restaurant right next door with a wonderful atmosphere and service.

The room smells humidity and as an okd building there is a lot of noise when some other guest walks. There are no windows, and we felt like in a cave. Shower was good and space size too, otherwise, difficult to stay happy

Enjoyable and memorable. We enjoyed the accommodation and Porto is an amazing city. We will return over the coming weeks

Great apartment with spectacular views overlooking the river. Close to the wine cellars and the funicular to take you up to town. No complaints!

The location of the apartment was amazing. Close to the river, shops, cafes (a great one next door), and a short walk to downtown. Parking was tough as we arrived on a Saturday afternoon to hordes of people in the area. Wound up finding an underground structure a few blocks away for about 24 Euros/day. The apartment was spacious, but could have used some additional cleaning. The floors were sticky and we came across a water bug in the couch and ants in the master bed. The only windows are at the front of the apartment (bedroom and entry) so the rear of the apartment is a dark and has a bit of a damp feeling. Great shower in the bathroom and fun pool table under the dining room table cover! Check-in was relatively hassle free and we were given the keys and a brief tour within 10 minutes of calling.

Fab location right on the river. A Bolina bar right outside made our stay with great staff, good quality food/ wines etc and attentive service. Apartment was modern and included a pool table which was enjoyed by all. However , very dark, basic kitchen only good for simple snacks, and 2nd bedroom no air on and quite tight feeling a little claustrophobic at times.

On the plus side, the location of these quite newly renovated apartments is fabulous. On the Douro River bank almost beneath the bridge. There are a number of apartments in the building that have been fully renovated to provide short term stay accommodation. The furnishings are sparse. The beds aren't very comfortable. Linens were not very nice. The apartment we stayed in wasn't very clean. There was food in the fridge & cupboards that had been left by previous guests. But our biggest objection was probably that the accommodations were not as advertised. The VRBO listing is very misleading. You are urged to read it very carefully before booking. The owners have taken the best of each apartment & made it look as though all those features are in one apartment. We had a 3-bedroom apartment that had one bathroom where we were expecting at least 2. Two bdrms had river views. The third was a small, windowless cave. We stayed only one night which was good as the layout, design & limited equipment would not have made for an enjoyable longer stay. The apartment was disappointing, but Porto was fabulous.
