Good option if you’re looking for something very close to the ski lift. Unpleasant smell all around probably due to the building being old.

Positives, staff was super friendly and helpful, easy walk to Happo One, all you can drink beer and sake included with dinner, plus an ice cream machine. Negatives, super thin walls to room, we could hear our neighbor snoring, breakfast and dinner food not great.

Very friendly staff. Hotel lobby has lockers, luggage storage and a fire place. The room is good and has plenty of space. They told me the tap water is drinkable but it tasted funny.

Room was in acceptable condition but felt quite old. There were only 2-3 power points that are at not so convenient locations. Minimum amenities and a bit far from the "central areas". If driving, there is a stretch of slope that is too slippery for 2WD cars right before the hotel if iced. Keeping in mind that this is a skiing resort, the condition of the room was kind of expected.

Amazing stay. Old hotel but very cozy. Breakfast was average- they had lot of variety though. For the price, it was ok. We were 4 staying in one room and didn't really feel that it was too congested. Lounge is extremely cozy after a day on mountains. They have a dry room which is great use for skiers. Onsen is awesome especially the one outside. We were using it every day. Must try dinner buffet especially because it comes with unlimited drinks, food was ok. But worth the price, i think. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. Location couldn't be better- you can literally ski in ski out- although we did get a bit lost on the slopes trying to find the lifts closer to the hotel. That was mainly because we started skiing from gondola area which is only 5 mins walk away- just because we had to buy the tickets on day 1. Woody's rental shop is also very close by so it became very convenient with rentals and stuff. Just be very careful while driving your car out of the car park in snow as it was very slippery on the end of carpark before you hit the main road.

Rooms are ok. Beds reasonably comfortable. Onsens are great after day of skiing. Location is good too. Very friendly staff. Buffet is ok, nothing to write home about.

Less expensive and budget friendly. Amenities available like Onsen and table tennis. Laudry is also available. Distance is the disadvantage. It's a little far from the city center although still walking distance.

This large and rambling hotel is on a wooded mountain slope near the Happo-One gondola and quite far from Hakuba Station. It is one of only a few hotels operating during the off-season (late June) and would be bustling with winter sports enthusiasts during the ski season. My visit was quiet and relaxing.

Stayed here in Spring, which I suspect is a whole different ballgame to Winter. Location was great as we did not have a car. As others note it’s a steep hill to walk up but it’s not long. With many restaurants closed at this time of year having breakfast onsite and the option of buffet dinner at the restaurant was brilliant. The hot baths were great too. The rooms themselves were a little tired and basic however the beds were comfortable and the property was quiet. We did hire a car for 24 hours to get to see the snow monkeys (recommendation for
