What a lovely plce to stay - fantastic staff, great food, lovely room. I rately leave reviews but this place was so lovely i felt i had to leave one. I'll definitely be staying again!

I had come to attend a wedding at the Sandon Hall. The Dog and Doublet is conveniently located, and I’ve had an excellent stay here.

Lovely bed and breakfast and restaurant in a renovated arts and crafts public house. Dinner high quality and had many gluten free and vegan friendly options. Breakfast was included and tasty. All rooms are up a flight of stairs with no elevator, owing to the historic nature of the building. Great value for the price.

Excellent place to stay.

Sea view from the rooftop bar is amazing

The room was clean and tidy. However weather was unseasonably cold and there was no heating on in the room. This made for an unpleasant showering experience. When I went down to eat I explained to the staff who were very apologetic and had the heating switched on in my room. The room took a long time to get up to reasonable temperature which made for an uncomfortable evening.

Lovely place, staff friendly and food excellent. Our room was spacious with a very comfy bed, lots of hot water. Would recommend and would certainly stay again.

Fabulous stay such character and yet still clean and well kept. Staff were great nothing too much trouble , excellent value. Dinner was really good too as was breakfast Will stay again :-)

We are returning customers and found the place to be as welcoming as before. The staff are always friendly and polite, our room was a little cold but we were offered a boost on the heating if necessary. There were a few issues in the shower room but these were reported on the system immediately. The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive. When it was noted that we were waiting quite a while for our food we were given an apology and offered more drinks. Not once did we have to ask about anything. Would highly recommended and will definitely be staying there again.

Myself and my partner have been really looking forwards to a night away and were not disappointed at all. The staff were so friendly throughout our stay, the room was beautiful and so comfy and the breakfast the next morning was perfect. We will definitely be coming back and we are very grateful to the staff for such a wonderful experience.

The food was reasonable, the staff were friendly and helpful, however my single bed was more like an infant bed. Very small. My feet dangled off the end of the bed. The man in the room next to me left his TV on all night which I could hear through the walls.
