During the recent earthquake in Davao, I have personally experienced the event and per my observation, the hotel has not defined emergency response protocol, no defined evacuation area, no head counting, no training emergency responder. Relying on 911 in such magnitude is not a reliable recourse. The hotel should have one. The elevator that should have landed in the ground floor and must be open as per standard is not totally performing that way. The SGs or guards put a big trolly in the door for the people inside to get out. Since go hotel is a chain of hotel then you should consider that safety of your guest is your top priority. Hard hats is not provided to Guards and to some staff doing sweeping. Emergency alarm was not sounded to have a full evacuation. more to learn. Please do so.
