Check in time was 3:00. We arrived close to 4:00 and were told our rooms wouldn’t be ready for another hour because housekeeping was behind. No solution was offered as to what to do about parking or luggage. The air conditioning was broken in the lobby, so it was stifling hot. Then, I was told we only booked one room when we had booked two. The front desk staff was not helpful at all. In addition, my brother in law arrived in his room to see the toilet filled with feces. I would never stay here again.

The staff was kind and tried to please everyone. The facility was clean and comfortable! Sliding closet door /bathroom door was not the best idea if someone is trying to get into the closet and someone trying to get out of the bathroom!

No dining or bar/restaurant facilities. Pool advertising misleading. Just an over-sized bathtub. Also, didn't look clean. Lots of what looked like sand on the pool bottom.

The guests next door has kids crying until 11:30pm. The room was so humid and the carpet felt moist. We thought it would clear up after a couple of hours but it was still in incredibly humid. The room smelled musty. The bathroom had a hook that was about to fall off. There wasnt enough hooks to hang all the towels.

The bathroom sink overflow was dirty( appeared to have mold). The desk staff ( 6/28 day shift) left the desk and I observed her smoking just outside the main entrance. The smell of cigarette smoke was very strong at that entrance.I think it is not appropriate for anyone to be smoking where others will have to smell it.

Nice hotel, excellent location, easy walk to many shopping and dining options. The Wilmington River district area seems to attract some unhoused people, but doesn't feel unsafe.

There were no rooms available when I arrived to check in although I booked and pre paid online. The front desk agent said they would cancel and refund me to book at another property and my reservation was not cancelled nor was I refunded.

The check-in staff were not friendly or welcoming at all. Our first time in Wilmington and we asked them for a lay of the land and we’re basically were handed a map and pointed in a direction. After the first day our room key didn’t work and we were informed that upon check-in the receptionist only put in one day stay when we clearly stated we were there for 3 nights. Lastly, there was a sign in the room that said our room would be cleaned every other day but after 2 1/2 days our room had not been cleaned and when I asked the front desk they said we needed to tell them if we wanted our room cleaned. All I all the hotel did not make our stay a good experience which is why I will never stay there again and I will think twice about staying at another Hampton Inn.
