I booked a deluxe king and after checking in and getting to the room, I was placed in a double queen. When I called down to reception, I was told I didn’t book a deluxe king and they didn’t have any available. I double checked my booking and receipt, both of which said “deluxe king”. Then I waited in the lobby for my son to pick me up for dinner and listened to reception upgrade 2 different people checking in to a deluxe king room. I stay here every time I visit my kids in CStat and have never been let down or disappointed, but this trip was both.

The Stella was just ok for me. The room was clean, and the bathroom was definitely upscale, but the furnishings were a bit worn, with stains on the marble countertops, buttons missing (and rusting) on the ottoman, and the sides and corners of furniture banged up. We also did not get maid service after the first night, and had to request it for the other days. We got a suite, which was large, but there was no microwave, and only a tiny fridge. The hotel is kind of in the middle of nowhere, with only a couple of restaurants nearby. The room service menu was very limited, as well.

Beautiful and very nice hotel. Great bed and fluffy towels. The lake was nice, too.

We were told that they had chargers for our Tesla. The valet did not know how to charge the vehicle. You have to pay ev connect to charge BUT ev connect requires the charging station ID for the charging to work. Most of the stickers on the the chargers were removed and one id was not recognized so i had to drive to HEB and charge there. The room service did not replace the tissues in the box, it was empty when we arrived. Overall not a good experience for $500 a night

While the average nightly rate was within reason, one of the nights for a double queen room was more than $300. When you consider the counter had a huge crack in it, the room had a horrible smell (mold or mildew), the bathroom rug was falling apart, and the curtain broke and wouldn’t slide close, I definitely do not think this hotel stay was worth the money. I have stayed in this hotel at least a dozen nights in the last 6 months and it seems worse each time. Unfortunately, it’s still one of the best options for CS.

Booked a regular king suite and was given a handicap accessible room instead. The room had a strange odor. The sink was very small with no room to put any toiletries anywhere and without a shower door the entire bathroom floor stayed wet for hours. Called the front desk and was told they were sold out of king rooms. No other solution offered. Left a bad impression after previously pleasant experiences.

Parking is terribly inconvenient. All that land. Nothing around it and you have to park in BFE. The elevators are conveniently located in the spot farthest away from the parking…by the front desk. Lotta walking in that horrible Texas heat and humidity. The staff doesn’t know up from down and could be bothered to figure it out. The coffee shop is inconveniently located out the door, around the way and thru another door, when they finally open. Wouldnt want them to get up too early for the few guests who had walked all over creation after the long trek from the parking lot. You could valet park…if you are lucky enuf to find him working. But what about when it’s time to leave? Hmmmmm. The strange coffee person didn’t know they served breakfast and the breakfast people didn’t know about the coffee shop. Clueless. The inconvenience goes with the location I suppose, since the entire place isn’t close to anything either. I’ll be finding someplace else my next trip. It wind be with Stella.

Overall everything was great. No real concerns. Breakfast didn't start until 7 on the weekend, which we thought was a little late, but we still made it work. There were several of us waiting to be able to eat breakfast. There is really nothing in the hotels immediate area, so would have been nice to open a little earlier. We stay here whenever we come to CS, and it's always been good.
