Wonderful place and staff!!!

Beautiful property. Clean rooms. Quite space. We stayed at the halfway point in n our trip and enjoyed the spa which was also beautiful. Definitely would stay again.

Just a top notch place and the national park was a dream! We loved exploring the paths, buildings, grounds....such a beautiful place.

We enjoyed the apartments attached to the property. The room is spacious, kitchen well appointed, and clean. Parking was easy and rooms were quiet. We slept well every night. The only negative would be the lighting in the bathroom to shave or put make up on. The resort itself is in a great location just a couple minutes outside of town. The resort staff is wonderful. The spa team was great as well. Yew Tree restaurant breakfast was good but not as exceptional as our lunch in Monk's bar. We all enjoyed our lunch and returned for drinks multiple times to Monk's.

Surprised us with champagne for our 50th anniversary! Very thoughtful.

Very responsive and the accommodations were very nice.

We enjoyed everything except the beds. The beds were not comfortable. Unfortunately, not a great sleep due to the hard beds.

It was very calm and inviting. Guest services were very friendly. The spa was great, as was the food!

The hotel was beautiful but we stayed in the apartments and they need some work. Very dated. Kind of musty smelling. Bed were uncomfortable. If i came back i would try the hotel but not the apartments.

The setting was beautiful. Just outside the national park. The check-in procedure was fine but we had no idea where to go. There are no signs for “The Reserve.” The apartment was pleasant but it needed a good deep cleaning. There was all kinds of stuff on the floor, long hairs in the shower floors and pube hairs on the wall of the shower. The lack of air conditioning was fine. We opened the windows and it was cool. There were also portable fans in the bedrooms. The kitchen kettle also needed a cleaning.

While the apartments are very spacious and we enjoyed it there were no amenities, no phone in the room for assistance, two bedrooms but no TV’s in them, no elevator and no help with luggage so we had to take all of our items up 3 floors.

This property was perfect! We were a group of 5, so we utilized the apart hotel. It was spacious and clean, allowed us to have communal space and private sleeping. Dining at the restaurant was fantastic. Jason was our server and he was amazing. Food was great, only a short 10 min walk to the Muckross Abbey and a breath taking lake. Hotel views bolstered mountains in the morning. Wonderful staff, we did not have time to utilize the spa but it looked beautiful.

Everything about Muskross Hotel and Spa delivered on every level I could have dreamed of! Y'all made my Anniversary perfect, the food was absolutely divine. The service was out of this world, and the Hotel was simply magical; if I could do anything I wanted to point out your superstars. Kruno and Jason were without a doubt, the best hospitality staff that I have ever experienced. They're the reason I'll be staying at Muckross on our next visit to Ireland and any visit after that. Those top performers need to be the golden standard in customer service. A service, we will return and I truly hope Kruno and Jason is still there. This will most definitely be recommended to all of my friends and colleagues back in the states, thank you for everything from the bottom of our hearts.

Apartment was in great condition and very clean. Wonderful check-in, the night receptionist was very nice and professional. The spa closes too early, at 7 in the evening.

We stayed in room on the ground floor. After being in the room a short time I noticed a terrible smell, like someone urinated on the carpet in one of the bedrooms. After checking around I found the spot. I made several calls to the front desk, someone was sent down to investigate. After several more calls Eugenia was sent to the room. Eugenia was the evening manager that night, she made arrangements for us a different room and dinner for us that night. She did a great job taking care of us and everything for the room. I know this isn’t the normal thing at this beautiful resort, everything was taken care of promptly and professionally. We were told the room would be professional cleaned.

The Muckross hotel and suites in Killarney was a perfect launch site for our family to leave from to see the local attractions including the Beara peninsula and the Ring of Kerry. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and it was perfect for our family of three. The unit is very quiet, well equipped with great king sized beds. Breakfast was a bit pricey but wonderful selection and service. One item to note is that there are no elevators in the apartment suites area so be prepared for some lifting of your luggage. One general comment about not only this hotel but really all the areas we visited in Ireland is that we found the Irish to be wonderful people, kind and attentive, and truly hospitable in all respects. The people here have left a very positive lasting impression on our whole family.

Our stay at muckross hotel tel spa apartments was very good. The apartment was spacious, clean, well furnished & equipped & very comfortable. Staff were friendly, very accommodating & helpful

We were not at the main hotel which was a surprise and at the apartments connect to hotel. They are VERY old and smell terrible. Old and musky. Food was cooked and it never came out of the room smell. The combination of burnt food oil and mildew made us sick. Carpet and furniture was really nasty and dated. They don’t service to apartments so they weren’t cleaned. I called about the smell and nothing was done. Location was great. Staff I saw at check in was nice but I would not stay her. Especially if you are looking for 4 star place. It was a 2 star at best. Super disappointing. Take out carpet and remodel!!!

This review is for miscommunication between the hotel and Expedia. Unfortunately, this is the only property that I happened to double-book. I traveled through Ireland for 11 days and the cancellation date was sooner than all the rest. When I realized I didn’t cancel this one on time, I actually went to the hotel and spoke with Danielle. She was very kind and professional, and said she would speak to Expedia to allow me to cancel and get a refund but she couldn’t get them on the phone while I was there and said she would call them later. After I left, I talked to Expedia and they said they would give me a refund if the property allowed it but they couldn’t get ahold of property. So, even though I was told by the hotel and Expedia that they would be willing to give me a refund, they couldn’t confirm with each other, so I didn’t get it. The property looked fine, but it was not near the city center. I didn’t actually see the apartment, but from the outside it looked okay. It was close to a busy street that had cars driving by fast.
