Excellent stay. I have been to many places and stayed in many hotels but this hotel has perhaps the best bed! Super clean rooms. The only reason I didnt give five stars for facilities is that they do not have a hair dryer and the water pressure of the shower wasn't great. The staff did look into it and I didnt expect it to be an immediate fix so in the bigger picture, that was a trivial problem; it doesn't take away from how brilliant the establishment is.

We had an amazing break away, host was very friendly and helpful. Property was exactly as described, very clean and comfortable, room was remade and restocked daily. Food was amazing. We will definitely be back.

The place was nice and quiet, staff were lovely, breakfast was very good, bed was really comfortable, fan in the room was nice. Only a couple of slight negatives. The room was a little dusty on some of the surfaces and a couple of the walls could do with dusting too. Also there looks to be a coffee stain on the wall, and also the shower flow was weak. These things didn't take away from the enjoyment of my stay however. I had a lovely stay and i would stay here again.

A lovely pub and guest house, staff extremely friendly, helpful and polite. The food was excellent and service impeccable, very convenient and close to the local park and ride into city centre. Would highly recommended staying here.

This was our second time at the property and everything was just as good as the first time. The bay horse is a perfect location for when we visit our daughter in York.

Friendly staff. Traditional hospitality

Stayed for a couple of nights to use as a base for a trip to the area. Accommodation comfortable and met our requirements as a base. Hosts and staff very friendly and welcoming. Ate in the pub both nights…really good ‘pub grub’. Excellent breakfast. Pub has a nice atmosphere and would definitely stay again.
