We had a fantastic stay at Cabanas Alechen. The property was clean, comfortable, well equipped and a lot more spacious than the listing photos. It felt very homely and we loved the cabin we were in. Alejandro and Eduardo were great hosts and nothing was too much. We also enjoyed the breakfast provided with homemade cakes and breads. We wished we stayed longer and look forward to coming back one day!

If you are staying in El Calafate, do yourself a favor and stay at Cabanas Alechen. The hosts are great humans and made the stay so comfortable and pleasant for me. I could go on and on about why you should stay here. 10 out of 10!

The property is unique and not a stale, sterile hotel room. Everything was perfectly suited for my stay and the hosts were wonderful! It is a little bit off the beaten path but everything is within walking distance and the major tour companies are familiar with the property for easy pickup and dropoff. I'd definitely stay again!

We felt the most welcome we have in all our travels through Argentina. I wish we would have stayed longer. We were comfortable and the cabin was so charming. The fresh baked bread and breakfast spread were so welcome. Our hosts were excellent in all aspects. When we return to El Calafate, we will stay at Cabañas Alechen.

Absolutely wonderful hosts who could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The property, itself, is beautiful and well layed out. The kitchen and dining area is lovely and a great place to enjoy coffee and breakfast as well as to relax at the end of a day of exploring. This is a perfect place in every way and we highly recommend it! Thank you for everything!

Alejandro was so friendly and very accommodating! The cabin was adorable and had everything you could need. Breakfast was a delicious spread of toast and spreads and cakes. The location is great if you have a car - free parking and a super close drive (<5 min to the town), but also feels quiet and a bit separate from the activity of town, which is great for relaxing. We wish we could have stayed longer, but would definitely stay here again if we make it back to El Calafate.

Fantastic rustic "cabin like" experience but with all the amenities you need. Very spacious, it is like having a full house to yourself. The owners are amazing, can't say enough good things about them. Wish we had more time.

Alejandro and Eduardo are great hosts and really make you welcome. The cabana was very well laid out and has quirkey touches that we loved. Everything was perfect for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is a little out from the town centre but we could walk it in about 15 minutes and it was nice to be away from the touristy stuff. Great view of the lake and mountains. Breakfast was good and the guys do their best to cater to any diet issues. Cabana was absolutely spotless. Recommended for a couple or family especially if you have a car or want to experience something different to the resort or hotel stays.

Delightful helpful hosts with many details of perfect hospitality.

From the moment of our arrival we were warmly welcomed and "in love" with our cabin. Very clean and spacious with views of Lake Argentino and the mountains. The owners are lovely and oriented us to the area, suggested excursions and even drove us into town the first day. The cabin is a 10 minute walk to town and in a very quiet/non-touristy part of El Calafate. For us, it was much more authentic than staying in one of the many hotels (hostels). Alejandro and Edwardo brought us breakfast each morning and made sure we had everything we needed. They treated us like family. I will recommend Cabanas Alechen to others and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We were very sad we only had one night stay and would definitely stay there if we return. Everything was perfect. The owners are super helpful and just want you to have a good time in their cabin. It is thoughtfully decorated and has really good furnishings and kitchen equipment. Great views. Breakfast was also very nice. Thoroughly recommend Cabañas Alechen 😊

We loved our stay at Cabanas Alechen. It is beautifully decorated, perfectly clean and we really felt at home there. If you get a chance to try their baking do it! The whole experience was fantastic and we would love to stay again.

We loved our stay. The cabin was so cute. The hotel owners were very nice and helpful. They hand delivered our breakfast every morning even at very early hours on 2 days when we had tours. It was cleaned while we were out of the day. It was very spacious; we could go back once we have a family and it would be plenty of room. They even provided a complimentary bottle of wine for our honeymoon. Only negatives was it was very hot in the cabin but they helped us lower the heat since were from NJ and used to cold temperatures. Our showers would run out of hot water pretty quickly. We didn't say anything about that so maybe they could have done something. Overall, we loved it and hopefully we'll be back sometime soon.

From start to finish, these guys know what they're doing. The pictures online don't do this place justice. First of all, a taxi with a wonderful driver named Francisco was sent to pick us up from the airport. After a delayed flight and a lot of drama getting to Calafate, we were greeted at arrivals with a nameplate. When we arrived to this adorable, cozy part of El Calafate, neighborhood dogs ran to greet us and Alejandro and Eduardo were already waiting at the entrance, immediately helping us with our luggage and warmly greeting us like they were old friends. The cabin is absolutely gorgeous - all wood in Calafate style, the whole place is yours, with a cozy loft for sleeping. The kitchen area and bathroom are fantastic. Toiletries, a stocked refrigerator with drinks (even wine), all reasonably priced. Coffee, matte (Argentinean tea), spices, dishes, all available in the adorable and clean kitchen space. The sink and bathroom are separate so two different people can get ready at the same time. The heat is controlled by you. The beds are extremely comfortable. The room is squeaky clean and beautifully decorated and cozy. There are even books you can buy or flip through. Windows abound with stunning views. Then, as if things couldn't get any better, Alejandro and Eduardo brought us delicious breakfast at our requested time, on the dot. These are scrumptious, home-made breads with tantalizing spreads. I'm a picky NY traveller, and I recommend to EVERYONE! <3

Fantastic cabin, really cosy and well equipped. Wished we were staying longer but we had a busy schedule. We had a car so going to the main town was easy. Breakfast tastes homemade and is hand delivered (a real treat!) very flexible and affordable with as much or little help as you require.
