This is a great place to stay at if looking for a short term stay in Samarkand. It is 30 minute walk to “old city” and the famous Registan, free breakfast, and beautiful garden are a nice tough as well. However the best thing about the hotel in my opinion is the helpfulness and friendliness of the hotel staff, especially Murod. He took time out of his day to show me around the city, from seeing the laser show at Registan and also for giving amazing advice on things to see. I would give Platan hotel a 10/10!

The hotel is located in quiet street not far from main attractions of Samarkand. The rooms are spacious and clean and the hotel restaurant where breakfast is served is authentic and beautiful. The breakfast was very good. The hotel restaurant is very popular with live music. It is recommended to book it in advance if you are going to have dinner there. Finally the staff especially Mr. Murod and Mr. Bexruz are super friendly, professional and helpful.

Very good restaurant and not far from the main areas.

Platan is has a good quality price ratio. A few things need to be addressed though: the AC in the room is very noisy and needs to be modernized. The receptionist during the night shifts spoke very little English and communication was difficult. There are frequent power outages which are quickly resolved. Overall is a good place, tidy, quiet area and the breakfast is excellent. Every room has a coffee machine with very good coffee. 10 points for the restaurant which is absolutely excellent, delicious fresh food and very good service. I will come back to Platan for sure!

Amazing staff and restaurant

Fantastic property with very good service and courteous staff. The restaurant booking is a must -do.

A quiet and comfortable retreat at the end of each day of hot sightseeing! Clean with very comfy (firm, not hard) beds. The breakfast was fabulous. In fact, their farm-to-table restaurant was so good we found it difficult to eat elsewhere! Everyone was helpful and accommodating.

Great hotel with very solid food options if you aren't feeling super adventurous (nice restaurants don't get better in town). Service really nice and one they even drove us when taxis weren't super available. The one comment for change is that the bed was not great. The first night it was pretty terrible and they gladly swapped the mattress in the morning. Still not great, but this seems like a common shortfall in the country (although our place in Buhara was great!).

Beautiful place in a quiet area of Samarkand but still walkable to the sights. Reception staff helpful, although we were only there one night I did ask for towels which didn't arrive. This maybe as it was New Year all so very quiet. Wi Fi was appallingly bad in the room that needs to be sorted as we all now expect it. Restaurant fabulous!

We had a modern spacious room (really big) occupied with all that is necessary and more. Big bathroom. Friendly staff, ready to help. The property also has a very good restaurant. Location is nice as well. Well worth the money.

The staff is very friendly. There was this young chap at the service desk who was extremely friendly and helpful when we needed some advice and support. Kudos to the great service especially to this young and friendly staff. The room was huge and comfortable as well.

It is nice small hotel with out swimming pool . Wi fi speed is slow but available in room and other areas . Break fast is included in day rate and very delicious.

The hotel restaurant is extremely good with a wide variety if dishes at very prices. Hotel is very comfortable and clean. No lift so be prepared for stairs but not an issue.

Very big comfortable rooms, good central heating, excellent breakfast and very friendly staff.
